I was given this book by a friend after having visions on her table. I read it cover to cover beginning about 7p non-stop until 7a.The book covers powerful and unusual personal experiences that may contribute to you. And it also contains mundane chapters describing exercises and how to's for forms and varieties of meditation alone and in couples or groups.After 17 years, this is still a one of a kind book that I have read 5-6 times.  Avalanche: Heretical Reflections on the Dark and the Light

I've read a good number of books dealing with topics in Spirituality. Quite honestly, there is nothing to compare this book to. It is like reading something entire original, in an original voice with original presentation of ideas. I was shocked that the writing (and presentation of such complex ideas) was so clear. I have not finished, because this is a DENSE book. Even one page is enough to contemplate for some time. This book is packed with wisdom.

Arrived in good condition. Fascinating perspective on reality. You have to keep an open mind to read this and I suspect most people won’t appreciate it. I’m not sorry I read it.

Insight on self reflection.. bring awareness..

Joy is worthwhile reading in terms of helping to understand the nature of human behavior in a humanistic sense.

if interested in understanding self, i find this book second only to Joy's Way. Certainly worth the time.

If you work with people or are working on yourself, this book is a must read!
