Historic Building Facades: The Manual for Maintenance and Rehabilitation (Preservation Press Series)

Great book for those engineers with little architectural background but who wish to work in restoration or professional engineers and licensed architects who perform Local law 10/11 inspections and would like to be recognized as New York City Qualified Exterior Wall Inspectors (QEWI).

I bought this for school but there is actual information here i will use though out my career.

A must have for any Architecture student. The topics and methods are clearly explained for you to understand. Gives a look into the history of the material and ways to apply and fix it.

The font is one that is difficult to read----i am unable to change it---I dont understand----this is the first book i have purchased through Kindle that I cannot change the font to one of my choice

This book has a very good desription of how to restore old facades and outlines numerous possiblities of why the facade my have failed. The pictures and graphics also help to complete the book in that it gives great examples to link the nomiclature and pictures together.

Awesome book to have on hand for a masonry restoration contractor.
