A 5mm x 3mm piece was broken from the rim. I'm still giving a high rating for expedient delivery and rarity of crucible that large.Product is still usable. I did multiple glazes in the area from which the piece was broken. I then melted a kilo of silver with no issues. It poured fine and it broke no further. It held the whole kilo just fine.I was kind of expecting it to be broken in half upon arrival because of size. And thin surface area. Perhaps in the future the shipper can put 'fragile' stickers on the outside of the package? Still, a good item.

I got this for my husband and he melted a few cans in it. The aluminum stuck, so it can't be used again for anything else. It did work to melt the cans though! 😅

Melting brass works great

Happy with the product, but don't expect to get it quickly. It took almost a month to arrive. I guess it was shipped via pony express. I won't be ordering from this company again.
