Eagle Pack Natural Dry Reduced Fat Dog Food, Pork, Chicken & Fish, 15-Pound Bag

I absolutely love this dog food! After months of runny stool from my dog and vet visit after vet visit we finally found out that he needed a low-fat diet. Originally I was paying 60$ for a 10 pound bag of low-fat food from the vet every few weeks, until I looked at the ingredients and actually saw what was in it. Chicken was all the way down to the 5th or 6th ingredient and corn meal was the first. I was enraged and began doing research on different brands with meat as the first ingredient and it's crazy how hard that is to find. Not only did I find that with this food, but there are no artificial flavorings or any of the other crap that is truly unnecessary for a healthy diet. After a week of eating this my dogs stool was back to normal, his coat was shiny and I was happy!! After a few months we are still loving it and very happy with the quality and the timely shipping. :)

Dog Food Advisor gives this brand four stars, and I have no reason to question their analysis. We feed the reduced fat version to our aging, overweight rat terrier mix, and she loves it. She hasn't lost a great deal of weight, but at least she stopped gaining. This is an excellent dry dog food that won't break the bank.

Our two year old German Shepherd all of the sudden was having extreme gas and chronic diarrhea after being on the same food his entire life. After many vet visits and a negative blood test for pancreatic problems we switched to this low fat food and his issues disappeared within a day or two. He was never overweight but the low fat formula help with his digestion issues. The low fat brand of dog food the vet recommended was about $70 dollars for a 28lb bag. This is $40 for a 30lb bag and is definitely worth the price! With my 107lb German Shepherd I am saving so much per month with this brand. Highly recommend trying this food if your dog has digestive issues.

We switched to this dog food because our dog was incontinent. This was one of the best things we have ever done. Her stomach is no longer upset. She eats every meal and her coat just shines. Our siberian husky is going to be 12 this year. We looked on line at dogfoodadvisor.com and this had a 4 star rating. Amazon does offer prime shipping but it takes a while for it to come in the mail.

Our little dog prefers the canned as her teeth are not great but wolfed this down the first time. She still eats the hard food but loves the canned version best. Please see my review of the canned also.... Within a few weeks of serving only this plus the canned she became a puppy again. Give it a try - we bought many more expensive and well known supposedly good dog food options before this one and this one outdid every one of them.

Eagle Pack Natural Dry Reduced Fat Dog Food is one of the least fatty dog foods available. If you have a fat dog, a low energy dog or just a dog who turns calories and fat into extra pounds, Eagle One may be for you. Eagle One annotates fat content as 6 to 9 percent. Other so-called "reduced fat" foods may state a minimum fat content, but no maximum. No very helpful.Buyers often look at calories, but I believe that fat content is more important than calories.And at about $1.16/pound, its a bargain.

My dog hated this food! He is not picky at all. He is a lab, need I say more. I think he would rather starve than eat this stuff. It does smell so weird! Instead I give him the Nutro Ultra Weight Managementand and he loves it. He isn’t over weight but he needs a food that is low in “FAT” because he has a Gastrointestinal disorder. He was on RX Royal Canin Gastrointestinal Low Fat Dry And wet but after 2 years one day he just said no thank you! That food was made of junk but it did totally help his stomach issues. Thankfully He loves the new Nutro Ultra dog food, and it’s really healthy for him. Nice shiny coat, and no dog smell! He just wouldn’t touch this stuff even if I stirred in some wet food, so I can’t recommend it.

Item came on time and the box was intact this time! Yea! I am also very pleased with the price of this product. Cheaper on line than what I would pet at the local pet store.
