One of the best of ' An Audience With' since Ken Dodd on dvd I have ever seen to see Bob Monkhouse how he handles an audience is effortless and just shows his talent as a good joke teller a must see for any fan.

I once bought a book by Bob Monkhouse in which he offers tips and helpful advice to those who want to engage in public speaking. He need not have bothered. This DVD is an object lesson in comedy and should be made compulsory viewing for anyone with aspirations of stand-up. Including material that was not shown in the original TV broadcast, this is entertainment at its highest peak and a stark reminder of just what we lost when he passed away a few years ago. Although he spent rather too much time, for my money, presenting TV game shows, he was one of this country's most skilful and talented comedians whose true skill was rarely seen on TV. His timing and his unbelievably quick wit makes this a must for anyone who wants to see stand-up performed as it should be.

A classic performance from a great comedian. Bob Monkhouse was so much more than a game show host, his ability to craft one-liners and respond ad-lib is brilliant. This is a great DVD to have if you like to see the artistry behind stand-up and worth buying if you can get for a tenner.
