Quick shipping, very nice cookbook pdf, and then everything went downhill fast. The basket system on this fryer is a disaster. A clear plastic slider holds the basket set together (or not!). When it doesn't, they come apart, and you end up with hot food and the two part system coming apart and landing everywhere. The first time it happened, I made it to the stove and saved it. The second time, not so much, even though I was aware of the design flaw. This time I ended up with a burnt shin, sweet potato fries everywhere, and a dinged outer basket. You can't really see the damage, but the drawer no longer fits snuggly into the device, so the fryer will not stay on. Another design flaw we found is that you cannot leave it plugged in when you are not actively using the fryer. Two times when we had lightning storms and had power surges, the fryer turned itself on when we were not cooking (well, twice when we were home to notice it!) Could have happened when we were out as we live in Florida, and lightning is pretty common here in summer and fall. Obvously this was before the last crash as it will ONLY come on now if you stand and hold the drawer in. It's too bad, because when it worked, we were very happy with the results. And, just our luck, the return period was up thre days before the fatal crash.

I wanted to give the air fryer world a try and went ahead and made a purchase for this specific one. I have done numerous research and learned that the air fryer cooking feature is much healthier than frying. I like how little to no oil I needed to use to make my kids chicken nuggets and French fry lunch. It was super easy to figure out how to use, I read the instruction Manuel briefly and by testing it out I was able to use it. This air fryer has a nice stainless steel exterior which matches my kitchen very well. The inside is large enough to cook a good amount of food at any one given time. I also like how easy it is to wash. This air fryer also comes with a cooking booklet with numerous ideas and recipes. The price is comparable to many other air fryer on the market however this one is a lot nicer looking and doesn’t s stick out like a sore thumb like many others I’ve seen in store. Overall I highly recommend this air fryer, learn how to use it and enjoy making healthy foods like air fried French fries, eggplant squares, and pizzas.

UPDATE (09/04/21): I got the new air fryer. I think I figured out what is wrong. The first photo shows the old air fryer where the basket doesn’t stay in place when picked up. The new one stays in place. Every product is going to have defective units. My guess is my first one was defective. Very pleased with the new one and the excellent customer service.UPDATE: Shortly after posting this review, customer service reached out and are now sending me a new air fryer. This definitely wouldn’t have happened with a larger company. Count me impressed!Original review: Really liked this air fryer, HOWEVER… a year into using this, I’m having issues with it sensing the basket is in place. I will place the basket in the machine and it will sense it for a fraction of a second then everything will go black. I will have to push on the handle 5 or 6 times before it FINALLY senses it and starts cooking. I didn’t have this issue at first. As time went on it became more frequent where I would have to push the handle once more before it would start cooking. Now… I’m thinking I just may replace it.

I love air fryers; unfortunately this one did not work out well for me. From the beginning it never worked properly and appeared damaged. The basket does not fit in the unit to allow the fryer to stay on. I originally gave the product 2 stars versus 1 because the customer service through Bagotte has been great. They committed to send me a new air fryer, so I am hopeful to have a more positive experience.Update: I received a new air fryer and it is working great. Really appreciated the timely customer service. Changed my overall rating. Wish I had called Bagotte sooner.

While the product works as expected, though the controls are a bit quirky, the customer service gets them the 5-star rating. My unit has an issue, the interlock stopped working and the unit would continue to run when the tray was removed. I sent an email with a short video of issue. Through several email exchanges, they offered to send me a new unit. They were quick and consistent in the communication. For that ease alone , I’d recommended the purchase. The inner and outer basket fit on the top shelf of the dishwasher and clean easily. The unit cooks consistently. My wife did not want one initially, now she can’t live without.

Overall excellent fryer. Super easy to use, clean and food comes out great. Best foods so far are chicken ("fried" and roasted), brussels sprouts and potatoes. I highly recommend the Air Fryer Perfection book from America's Test Kitchen for some great recipes and techniques. The only reason I am rating 4 stars instead of 5 is that the drawer stopped closing properly after 6 months. That said, customer support was great and they replace right away. Would highly recommend

Air fryer worked great from September2021 to June 2022 and I loved it. Then. it stopped working. (No oower) I called Bagotte customer service. There response was amazing. They asked me to send an email describing the problem along with a photo of the air fryer. Two days later I received an email stating they were mailing me a new air fryer at no charge. The next day I received an e-mail showing my new air fryer had been shipped.Outstanding customer service experience.

My unit is dysfunctional. It worked perhaps 3 times in the past 2 years and now, all it does is sit on the kitchen counter looking pretty. Initially, I experienced what many others had experienced with the unit not staying on because of the little white slide button of sorts. If I have the patience to hold the handle for 3- 5 minutes, I am lucky to get toast. But who has time for that? I wish I had sent it back 2 years ago. I attempted to do so but their customer service rep was slow in response and I just forgot about it over time. Just out a hundred bucks for nothing.
