I LOVE this coffee and have also sent this as a gift. Nice dark blend and not too acidic for me. The whole beans are roasted just right and purchases benefit dogs- cannot go wrong there! Definitely recommend. I have a grind and brew coffee machine and some oily dark blends (not as good quality) really make a mess of the grinder, this one caused no problems at all.

I love this blend but I really wish they would put the “roasted by date” on each bag. I prefer this blend as a French press method.

I'm thinking we just got a bad bag of beans and, unfortunately, will just have to lament the $33.05 spent since it's not returnable. I ordered this coffee on December 22 as a Christmas present and it arrived on December 24, so freshness should not be an issue. We're serious coffee drinkers and grind beans every morning (exactly 17 seconds) for a french press. In spite of changing up the grinding times, this coffee makes the press nearly impossible to press down as it clumps so badly that the screen is clogged. Somehow, these clumps end up in the mugs, too. As for the taste...not so good. I wanted to love this coffee so much since it benefits homeless puppies but after a few frustrating mornings now, I give up.
