Extra long cable is super, non complex tools/attachments and the lift off cylinder with a foot stand is so useful for stairs and car.

Had one previously, got another as liked it!!!

stand alone cell doesnt stay upright if any pressure is put on it. hose is too short to use properly, suction plate on main hoover head hates changing floor types.

I have done some research and there is an adaptor which comes from VAX which is easily fitted with holes which reduces the suction ,so it can work on Carpets ,i only found this from a You Tube Video so i have requested said part from VAXits as good as a Dyson however

My parter is a massive fan of VAX whereas I have always tended to go for Dyson. With the recent demise of our precious hoover it was time to find a new one, as she is the main user I was taken out of the thought process buying it. However I was very pleased with the product that arrived.For minimal money the VAX is extremely powerful and could see the lift in the pile after just one use, the drive function is strong and again really reinvigorates the pile of the carpet. It’s not to powerful to pull it out of your hands but certainly can feel a tow there.To be able to detach and take up the stairs is a handy function although I wouldn’t have called it the lightest thing in the world. But it does the job.Seems very well put together so hoping it will last.All together a good strong 4 out of 5 stars.

This Vax Upright is amazing! The motorised brush bar thoroughly scrubs the carpet to help get down to the dust and dirt deep in the carpet. The design helps the vacuum suckup a ton more dirty than other vacuums. A quick vacuum later the carpet feels fresh and clean.To make my point I got my sister, brother, sister-in-law and my niece to vacuum their carpet thoroughly using their "reliable" Henry and something similar and then I vacuumed with this Vax Upright... They were stunned how much more it lifted. All 5 members of my family have Vax Uprights now and so do friends and colleagues.This product has it's strengths and weaknesses. I don't like it on the stairs as the included rotating hand brush bar is awkward but it's a small annoyance compared to the benefit of a much better clean.Also, I've had a carpet washer which constantly used to get clogged up whenever I used it. That's because my old Henry couldn't lift all the dirty. Now when I vacuum with the Vax Upright and then use the carpet washer (also a Vax), it doesn't clog up anymore.Overall great value for money.

Just carpets as have no stairs.
