Great remote for a great low price
Was looking for a remote to use with my phone for taking hunting videos. This little fella gets it done. My Motorola G Power takes great videos so why buy an action camera. After setting the phone onto a tripod in my deer blind the first day I found that this phones camera as most other phones has a default sleep time. After 90 seconds of inactivity the camera screen sleeps and phone display goes blank. This was problem #1. Solved this by downloading the app ( OPEN CAMERA ) and using it to take videos. Second day in the blind and problem #2. Although the camera now stayed on with no time out it would not dim with my phones manual screen dimmer. Can’t have a bright camera screen blaring back into my face while trying to stay hidden in a doghouse blind. Well, dug into the OPEN CAMERA settings later that night and found the setting to allow phones dimmer to dim camera screen. Just a matter of enabling it. Day three, in the blind my phone is on the tripod, open camera is running in dimmed mode and a couple nice doe walk out. I reach to tap the record button and “ you guessed it “ they spotted the movement and are now three county’s away. This is where the remote comes in. Now after setting everything up I sit in the back of my blind with remote in hand. The instant is see deer, a press of the button starts my video. Now nothing is perfect I guess and although this remote works great, paired it once very easily with my phone and it instantly connects to phone every time by just turning it on. It does have one itsy bitsy hiccup. After connecting and resting for several minutes with no activity it too goes into a type of sleep mode. I believe this is probably built into it to save battery life. This is fine with me and the fix is no problem at all. Simply press the button once, camera does not begin recording but now the remote is awake again. Press it the second time and video is running. Of course to stop any recording just push the button again. The clip is automatically saved to your phone. The distance between remote and phone is very good and close to what is advertised. I tested it to roughly 35 feet and it worked every time. I like the holder for hanging around my neck. Works great for what I’m using it for. It came with one CR2032 battery installed and a spare, not bad for $6 bucks. Now I’m after videos. If it’s stills your after, well that’s just a matter of choosing picture’s instead of video in the camera app. Each press of the button will give you a picture.

Does What It's Supposed To
If you are looking for a simple way to record yourself without having to set a timer or ask someone else to press the button, this is a solid option. Plus, you won't have to break the bank to get one. Let me start with what works really well. The pairing process was fast, no complicated setup or anything like that. Since it runs on batteries, you don't have to worry about charging it, which is one less cable to deal with. The remote is light and small enough to fit in any pocket, and it even comes with a lanyard so you can hang it around your neck if you want. Most importantly, it does exactly what it's supposed to do - trigger your phone's camera quickly and reliably. I use it to record my pickleball practice sessions and coaching, and it makes the whole process a lot easier. The only thing I wish it had was a zoom function, but honestly, that's more of a nitpick than a real issue. For the price point and what it delivers, I can't really complain. All in all, if you need to capture action shots or videos from a distance without spending a lot of money, this remote is a great choice. You won't regret it.

Small but Super Handy for Perfect Photos!
This Bluetooth 5.0 remote shutter is exactly what I needed for taking photos and videos hands-free with my phone. It paired instantly with my iPhone (and also worked great with my friend’s Android), and the connection has been super reliable. I love how compact and lightweight it is—I keep it on my keychain so I always have it with me. Whether I’m taking family photos, selfies, or recording content, this little remote gives me so much more freedom and flexibility. The range is impressive too—I can step several feet away and still snap clear shots without running back and forth. Battery life has also been great so far. If you take a lot of pictures or do any kind of social media or video work, this is a must-have accessory! Simple, affordable, and it works like a charm.

A mostly reliable shutter remote for your phone
This shutter remote mostly works. It does what it's intended to do, but I have been struggling with the remote disconnecting from my phone. It will just disconnect even though it's only a few feet away from the phone. I haven't found a fix for this. Regardless, it's mostly reliable. The remote is responsive and (when connected) works exactly as intended. Since it works through bluetooth, it snaps a picture instantly. The remote is small and discrete. it just has the main button along with an on/off switch, so it's very easy to use. I'm giving this a 4/5 because the disconnecting issue is only intermittent and otherwise it's been reliable.

Easy to set up
I love this little remote shutter activator. It's super easy to use. I don't remember exactly but I think I just turned it on and it worked. My purpose was to put my phone into a holder and take pictures of small keepsakes where the camera needed to be held very still. The remote also works great for selfies where the camera is sitting on something. I wish I'd known about this long ago, and so inexpensive. It comes with a handy lanyard.

Great for group shots - but has since failed
DO NOT BUY - failure & bad design Now down to one star. Totally unacceptable. I thought I would try again with the redesigned model of this wireless shutter trigger, but this new one is worse than the one that failed (previous review below). This time, the thin, flimsy plastic battery cover bent the matching slots it is supposed to slide into, preventing the cover from closing after checking the battery. But the edge contacts in the main body of the device are also poorly aligned. The CR2032 battery will not be retained along its edge, instead popping up, and shorting out as the metal crosses the positive and negative contact areas of the cell. Finally, after using the second of two CR2032 they thoughtfully provide (perhaps knowing you will kill one of them immediately), I got the thing powered up, only be unable to connect with the Bluetooth smartphone I wanted to use it with. Totally useless. RETURNING. Stay away. ----------- UPDATE: no longer works, a month after return policy deadline This little fob was great at first, with good distance and reliable function. One day it started acting up. Press the button, and the camera either ignored the command to take a photo, or it would take a whole burst of photos, OR IT WOULD CHANGE TO VIDEO and start to make a movie! It does this on two different smartphones. Something is scrambled in the little pea-brain. NOT recommended. ----- original review follows (was five stars, now down to two) OK we have wanted pics of our group workouts and self-timers don't do very well. Can't get in position by the time it goes off. I wasn't sure this thing would work very well but it really does! My friend has an IPhone and I have a Samsung, and when you turn it on the bluetooth comes up on both. Hers took several tries to "pair" up, but once it connected it's good now every time. My Galaxy saw it right away, hit "pair" and open the camera app. Pressing the button takes a picture, or turns a video on/off. The little power switch on the side is not so good, it is hard to feel whether it is on or off because it does not really click like a switch. I've left it on by mistake a few times which could kill the battery, but not yet. Same battery goes in my cardio chest strap sensor so I have spares. The description on the box says bluetooth 5.0 and talks about a range of as much as 50 feet, and yes I can still click the camera from a distance. When we are outdoors I have put the camera as far as maybe 30 feet for the group shot, and it always takes the shot.
