Perfect
0 complaints. It's beautiful. Strong. Durable. Love the extras with it like the lock wire and the over the shoulder strap. The foam inside is probably the best foam ive gotten in one of these boxes ever. I caught it while it was on a major sale so I'm 10x more thrilled with it. If I catch it on another sale like that I will be purchasing many more.

Nearly the same as the kids’ pencil box
Looks amazing, but is essentially identical to the pencil boxes that I buy my kids every year for school, with these exceptions: the size is spot on for my handgun, the foam was great, the combination locks are definitely an upgrade to the pencil box’s flimsy little key...But...the locks are still pretty week, and the case is not thicker/sturdier like I was expecting. Same as the pencil box. 🤷🏼♀️

Nice case
I'm pleased with this case. Can easily hold two handguns and a few extras. Case is sturdy, lock is strong, foam is soft and supportive. I'm not thrilled with the big "Freedom" sign, since I think it screams "handgun in here," so I plan to find some sort of sticker to cover that. But I love the case. It's easy to lock and unlock and easy to carry and customize.Good quality, nice size. Recommended.

Great option for securing weapons and valuables.
I really like this box for securing weapons and other small valuables. This is not a biometric safe but is built to protect its contents and to keep others out. You can set the combination for whatever combo you would like and the process of changing the numbers doesn't take long and is not all that difficult. The structure of the box is solid and by that I mean that no one is getting into this box without using an extreme amount of force. And if they use that much force, they may likely damage the contents in the process. That means that this is a secure box that is worth its price.

Acceptable for transport, NOT for security!
It arrived in a clear plastic bag inside a standard Amazon shipping box.Stickers. So many stickers on it. Warning stickers on every surface. They all come off cleanly, except for the two stickers on the latches. It took a good spray of goof-off to get those cleaned up properly.Once I was able to get the left side open, you could see where a lot of glue during the manufacturing process was squeezed and wound up inside the locking mechanism, so I had to sit there with a razor blade and slowly pull out the glue. It was gummy, so it was pretty easy to get out. Once I cleared the excessive adhesive, the latch worked adequately.First Impression:This is a nice-looking case with a good feeling when you first pick it up, though the large red “Freedom” livery screams, “Hey, I'm all 2A!” And depending on your zip code, you may want to consider that before heading out of the house with it showing. But nothing a decal couldn’t fix.No sharp post-production edges and quality finish overall and it does look good.Build Quality:Build quality is surprisingly good. Considering the country of origin, I would have expected slightly less quality, but with that being said, I’ve seen better. Sheet metal secured with soft rivets. I can see some pressboard sandwiched between in some areas like the side walls. This is where the extra sealant seeped into the left lock mechanism.3.5 out of 5 for build quality.Materials:Thin aluminum sheet metal. Not light enough to make it bad, just too thin to give you a feeling of security. But it does help to keep it lightweight.Hinges:Once again, not great but serviceable. Smooth operation. Limits to 90-degree-open keeping lid propped when accessing.Locks:NOT secure at all. Enough for theater, but ineffective for keeping the bad actors out. Open easily. Very simple to change code. They have a nice “pop” when activated.Interior:Actually, quite nice.13 7/8” wide by 8 3/8” deep. Technically, 0” height if you keep the foam insert, but the nice part is that the insert is removable and gives you a full inch of depth. Leaving the insert in seems to hold inventory securely, whereas removing the insert will allow your inventory to float around. With the insert installed and my hardware installed, a bit of force is required to get the lid down enough to lock. Think of an overstuffed suitcase. The entire area is enclosed with the soft inserts, and when the bottom insert is removed, it is still lined with a soft felt-like material which I find adequate to prevent scratching to your inventory.Weight:Very lightweight, with this being a double-edged sword. Its lack of weight is proportionate to its lack of security. More secure = more weight, so there is a tradeoff there. Though it is a good balance of both for what it is.Handle:Quite impressed with the handle. It has a nice feel and is comfortable to hold. It’s made of a resin that looks good while still having a feeling “heft” behind it. Not sure how it will mature over time with UV and atmospheric exposure.Strap:Meh. 1” nylon. Pretty standard. It has enough length to allow a large range of adjustments. The clips on the ends and the “D” ring attachment on the case itself are not of the best quality, and I would not trust with any heavy loads, but all in all, what you would expect in a build of this type.“Security” Cable:I put security in quotes because the last thing this case is is secure. Give me three minutes with just the tools I have floating around in my trunk, and I could be in the case removing your inventory without breaking a sweat. It’s a cute accessory, but I would NOT risk my hardware by using it and walking away.Value:I wish I could say that this case is worth the $45 cost at the time of this review, but I can’t. Maybe $27 or $32 would feel like a more reasonable price for what you’re getting. Unfortunately, I don’t think the quality justifies a $45 price tag. Truthfully, the primary reason I can only give this purchase a 3-star rating is due to cost-to-value. If it were priced as I mentioned, I would happily bump it up to an easy 4.After a week of exercising this case, I can say it is what it is. Once again, I want to point out that this is a case for transporting, definitely NOT for security. I would not recommend using this case as your primary storage solution. Even when locked, I would keep it out of reach of children. Not anywhere near the quality to be considered as storage. As for transport to/from the range, it can perform that deed. I would not leave it in my vehicle even while using the security cable supplied. With the “Freedom” branding almost screaming “You want what’s inside me” to a specific group of nefarious people, it would be terrible to leave it out of view.I do like the size. I’ve filled it with three objects, including add-ons, and all were kept secure with no moving around or damage. It makes for an excellent one-piece solution for getting my toys to the range. With enough care, I’m sure I will get some life out of this case, but I still feel the $45 cost is a bit high for what you get, and I don’t expect it to last (as a transport device) for more than 2 or 3 years at most before it’s deficits finally catch up with it.Thank you for reading this far!
