Cybex 770AT Arc Trainer

If you are like me and will do pretty much anything to get your hands on one of the older model cybex arc trainers, purchasing through this seller on Amazon is worth it. Understand though, it will come with a lot of work and creativity to get it assembled and running. The arc trainer arrives in a crate-like box that weighs 500 lbs. It is not well packed inside the crate and I had multiple places where the Arc trainer had broken through the crate. It had clearly gotten jostled around pretty aggressively during the trip. The screen was packed well in an actual packing blanket. Received a bag of hardware with handwritten labels on them that you couldn't even read so that's where the guessing game began. You couldn't tell what the hardware actually went to, so make sure you have a handy person willing to help you or you have a company nearby that will come assemble for you. Got the arc trainer fully assembled only to find out the wheel up front was not spinning properly and it was grinding against something. After another round of creativity and problem solving, we got things adjusted so there was no more grinding. No manual or instructions included so plan on finding them online. Bottom line is it's up and running which was the end goal, but it sure did take a while to get it that way.

got it set up and when operating it it rocked. the lower bearings are shot. the arm came off the left foot stand. there were bearings missing inside the bearing. i found them on line and they will be here the end of January. it's costing another 160.00 dollars. the description said it is 36" wide.....it is only 32" wide and went in the basement without having to take the doopr down.

I do not call this machine (at my gym) the Arc Trainer, but the KYA machine. That's an acronym for Kick Your A** and this machine will do it. Aside from the immediate benefit of low knee impact in all modes, this thing has a program (workout) called 'Adaptive Power'. You push the machine and it pushes back--just diabolical. An incredible workout that changes along with your progress. I do 16 minutes on it where I ramp up from intensity 5 to 20 and angle 6 to 20. I go hard for 30 seconds and then rest for 30. Dripping wet at the end, fat literally melts off. I never tire of this program because it challenges me every time. The machine has a neat graphic where the muscles on a human figure light up red as the intensity gets up there. It's a great motivator to 'stay in the red'. The red is for fat burn!

I don't have the arc Trainer at home but I use it all the time at the Gym. This cross over machine is fantastic. Super workout and you burn the double amount of calories than on any other cardio machine. LOVE IT.
