Back from a pretty grueling trip
Got this from Amazon just before a two week trip first to the Barcelona area then a cruise that took us to Mount Vesuvius/Pompeii, Downtown Rome via the train, Pisa and a Tuscany vineyard, then walking around Palma on Majorca then back to Barcelona. I experienced no problems with the case at all, Zipping remains smooth, Camera access is good, the strap is comfortable and it holds the gear I use. Here's what I use it for. My camera is a Sony A-37 with a Kit lens and a sigma 28-200. The other lens is kept in the main compartment which I skew to one side using the included Velcro dividers to allow for better fit for the camera. On the other (smaller)side I keep six P series filters for easy access. With either lens attached to the A-37 I can leave the Cokin filter holder on. With the 18-55 lens on I can leave the Cokin hood on in either the inner or outer position. I put it above the filters in the main compartment when the longer lens is attached. For those familiar with this hood you know its not that deep. The main compartment flap has a zippered compartment for small flat stuff like a lens wipe and screen covers. Sewn into the flap there are two SD card holders with Velcro and each holds two of the new BASIC packaging. It also holds a samsung tab 3 7.0 which I eye-fi my pics to but only with a folio cover if I remove the filters. The Upper compartment I keep several more filters about another 6, two chargers and four batteries in the mesh pocket on the flap. The mesh is perfect for the batteries because they are easy to find. There's a little room left over but not enough for a flash or another lens. Absent the filters and chargers there would be enough room for any of the Sony flashes and a small primary lens. The front of the case has a gusseted zippered pocket which I kept a spare filter holder (I thought perhaps I might break one because it goes face down in the case but this was unfounded.), dead batteries and yes, a few more filters. I also kept a dust blaster. The side of the pack opposite the access flap has a hard strap and an adjustable buckled strap. I used this for the small alum tripod that I use. I would have preferred a pocket at the bottom such as on the lowepro but believe me this is the ONLY thing I would change. We had just about perfect weather during the trip but we did get caught in a thunder storm in Rome on the way back to the train station. It's amazing how fast the street venders change from offering bottled water to umbrellas but we had the pack covered with the built in waterproof cover so no sale for the street vendors. It takes about 15 seconds to deploy and doesn't interfere the pack strap at all. I don't think that it says this anywhere in the literature but this cover is detachable via Velcro inside the slot where it stores. It's not necessary to detach it to use it.This pack carried and protected my gear through some pretty tough conditions. Lot's of crowds, buses and trains during the trip. Was definitely up to the task. One little note. On Carrer Princesa in Barcelona there is a little pastry shop. Let's just say you might want to carry the case in front of you. It's comfortable enough that you forget it's there. So please anyone in Barcelona patronize this shop. It's the one with the plexiglass shelving in the window. No one could have been nicer about the breakage. You won't be disappointed with the pastries either.Update: After several more photo adventures the bag is still going strong.

Worked fine for a two week trip
I favor sling bags because they offer ease of access to the camera without taking the bag off the shoulder. This is my third sling bag, after an old LowePro 200AW sling and a Case Logic SLRC-205. The LowePro held a lot of equipment, but the side opening flap only exposed the camera body with a lens attached. To change lenses, I have to open the flap further and risking a lens falling out of the horizontal (when swung to the front) pockets. The 205 sling held a camera for easy access, but had no pockets to hold lenses while changing them. So, I tried this sling. At first, I was skeptical because it seemed so small and lightly constructed. But, I returned from a two-week trip to Japan in October where it was my main camera bag (Update Nov. 2013). I put my Olympus E-M5 with the kit 12-50 lens, the 17mm f1.8 and 40-150mm f3.5-6.3 lenses, the FL-600R flash and the small kit flash, some filters, lens cleaner, and an Olympus PEN E-PL5 as a backup, plus camera covers and straps. Everything fit and the bag worked well for lens changes. The presence of padded pockets enabled me to hold a lens vertically (swung in front of me) while I swapped lenses. The rain cover worked especially well on our rainy Japanese trip. It was a lifesaver as it kept the camera bag and the contents dry while everything else we had got wet.The pack is compact, nicely padded, and comfortable for walking around. I was confident that it kept the camera gear safe. I sewed a ring onto the sling strap and clipped an Op-Tech strap and connectors on with a carabiner and used that in place of a camera strap when walking about. In other words, the camera hung from one strap lug from the sling bag. No need for a cumbersome neck strap. I use Op-Tech connectors and their SLR wrist strap on my camera, so I could clip it on and off with the nylon connectors. That worked out pretty well. I would love it if Case Logic put a loop where the X stitching is on the strap. :-)I didn't take a tripod with me so I can't attest to the utility of the tripod straps. At best it could probably handle a very small travel tripod or a monopod, but nothing heavier than that. I used it for an umbrella most of the time.My only gripe is that this bag was a little too small to use as a general carry-on. I would classify this as a small bag. It should hold a APS-C DSLR or a smaller full-frame DSLR and a lens or two. It worked great for a Micro Four-Thirds kit. There wasn't much room left over for personal gear (like a rain jacket) unless you emptied out the top compartment and had a lightweight packable jacket. There is no space for an iPad or even an iPad mini. The front pocket is rather tight and you can fit only thin items in it. If I were to go on another trip, I think I would look for something with more capacity so that I could carry a light rain jacket and an iPad mini with me.All in all, the bag worked out very well for this trip. It's light weight, compact size, and easy usability made it a perfect camera bag for my travel. And, the light material it is made of held up fine. That rain cover is an essential.

Absolutely Brilliant!
This is a great slingshot bag for anyone looking for a convenient way to carry their expensive camera equipment around. The bag is of very high quality with just enough compartments to suit a day outing to almost any kind of location. you can fit a camera with lens attached, 2 other lenses, and a top compartment for a 3rd extra lens or whatever else you need to carry. There are also lots of slots for filters and memory cards etc. - you may struggle fitting some larger telephoto lenses in here though so best to check dimensions before purchase.I went for this bag in particular because of the left shoulder strap.. as this suits me much better. It's the only brand iv found that has a strap on this side, and im very glad it's case logic who have gone this way.Very good product which is worth the money.. highly recommended!
