I've been interchanging this keyboard with the "Black Type Cover for Microsoft Surface" keyboard which has an excellent physical
This keyboard is different than the tactile response keyboard most people are accustomed to. Instead of a touch response, the Windows Surface gives an audible sound when the key, including shift key, has been pressed. The keyboard seems spillproof and well designed. I've been interchanging this keyboard with the "Black Type Cover for Microsoft Surface" keyboard which has an excellent physical response to key presses and is as good as any keyboard I've had. If this is important go with the Black Type Cover. On the other hand, if you worry about spillage or are a hunt a peck keyboard person, or, if you are like me and can adapt to audible instead of tacil keyboard response, then I highly recommend this keyboard. When I first tried the to swap my cyan keyboard for the black one, it didn't work immediately. I had to refresh the computer using the following steps: 1. Swipe from the right side of the Start screen and look for the settings icon. 2. Press the settings icon. 3. Press the "Change PC settings" text at the lower right. 4. Press update and recovery. 5. Press recovery and follow the recovery process. 6. Update your computer. (Add updates) 7. Restore pinned web sites that may have been lost. This seems to work reliably with either the black or the cyan keyboard now. I can swap keyboards in the middle of a session without issues. This is a beautiful color and it is well designed. Congratulations to Microsoft.

Essential for every Surface RT user
It is an OEM new old-stock touch cover for the Surface RT. It works like it should. My last touch cover is about ten years old and no longer works as the cable inside had broke, which had an intermittent connection. My old cover also had one pin recessed and stuck so I couldnโt take full advantage of it. This cover is brand new and everything works beautifully. The magenta matches my Belkin sleeve. I now have a working keyboard and trackpad again, because using the touchscreen alone is not optimal.

Awesome, Smart Design, Easy to Type on
Bought this for my surface Pro. When I first saw this and the type cover at the MS store, I was 100% going to buy the type cover. If the type cover was available in different colors, I probably would have. I am glad I got this instead. My first concern was that it would be hard to type on...I was wrong. Sure it does not feel like your typical keyboard but surprisingly after one day of using this I am typing at my normal speeds. I do make a few more mistakes at first but quickly adjusted. I type this review on the type cover and it was a breeze. Pros: Lighter and thinner than the type cover Different color options (pick a color that suits your taste) Very quite to type on. ultra portable Cons: Lack tactile feedback Not as comfortable to type on compare to traditional keyboards (but acceptable given the pros)

YUCK!!!!!
I bought it to use at college to do my homework assignments and research on-line. It never was able to access my school's WiFi or the internet. I couldn't even get connected to Microsoft to get any help. Bummer! Too frustrating!! I returned the damn thing!!!

learning curve
The Keyboard: There is a serious learning curve. At first, typing on this was not unpleasant, but strange. I would clock in at about 35 WPM. Now on my second day of typing, my WPM is climbing back up to where it should be (65-70 wpm). I just recently took a typing test, and scored 58 WPM. I enjoy the typing experience the more and more i type on it. I would rate 5 stars if it were not for the slight buggyness on my surface pro. This device sometimes made my device restart when i disconnected it or folded it behind the surface. *Pro tip, try to only use on a flat surface like a desk. typing on your lap is not a proper experience. The track pad: While the track pad is small, 2.7 by 1.3 inches, the track pad is a comfortable experience. Because of the track pad being somewhat enjoyable, I sometimes am too lazy to plug in and use a physical mouse. Multi-finger scrolling works fine, but there is some delay between scrolling and going back to move the mouse. The short cut keys: My biggest beef. There are no F keys. while there are useful shortcut keys, i feel there should be an option for F keys when i press shift, ctrl, alt ect... Overall review: This is a good keyboard for on the go and non serious typing ( I would not write a College report on this). The track pad is fine, and there are useful hot keys. The one thing to remember with this device is keep and open mind and and be ready for a mild learning curve. EDIT: I had a problem getting the key sounds to play, so if you have problems and windows (like usual) is being dumb, there is program called ClickKey that will allow you to set a custom sound to every keystroke at a custom volume. Hope this helps some problems with the sound.

Works Great, Makes tablet more enjoyable, Doesnt have buttons so it takes a little getting used too.
Love it, makes my windows RT tablet so much easier and better to use! Just be aware they are not buttons its more of a fabric feel solid bad, but it is easy to get used to and perfect sensitivity to make typing easy, It does have a mouse pad to use as well. All you do is click it into the bottom of the tablet and it should work immediately

Works great and great price.
I bought this for my old Surface RT since I am going back to school and Iโm sick of lugging around my big old laptop to and from school. Since the price was so low I was nervous about buying it, but it actually works perfectly and is light weight. It does what I need it to do and for the price, you canโt beat it.

This keyboard came in great shape and works well
This keyboard came in great shape and works well, but I find it so much more difficult to type on a touch keyboard than a regular keyboard. Also, spots on the keyboard that you touch a lot (like the spacebar) tend to hold on to the dirt from your fingers and develope dark spots.

Easy to use
Great device, took a while to work out how to change the keyboard (change surface setting & then reconnect the keyboard) but now works great.
