nice costume piece, ugly strap, extra piece falls off
Dark-lensed costume goggles, they're mostly plastic but don't look like it at a glance. If you actually wear them (on your face), they're not the most comfortable, and they're really dark-- much too dark for even interior lighting (forget a club or night-time). They fit neatly on my face, but didn't feel air-tight. They are probably snug enough to use at Burning Man (but you'd still need to keep your head down when the wind blows). I got these to ride around on my Steampunk outfit's hat, and for that purpose, they worked well. They look substantial. The pair of magnifying glasses are cool, but fell off after the course of an hour of normal movement (no dancing or running or anything). Those magnifying glasses are attached to a slightly modified hose-clamp. Easy to remove, but unattractive and easily identifiable to anybody who does home-DIY. The construction otherwise seems sound, but the band is an elastic blue one with a wavy pattern, rather than black/dark/matte to suit the Victorian theme. The band was also threaded wrong (have to rethread one side to make it sit flat w/o any twists). I dock one star for the shortcomings with the band and the ugly hose-clamp. For costume purposes, I prefer the similar (but red-lensed) Victorian Goggles welding Glasses from the same company. They're a little easier to see through, a bit cheaper, and they skip the hose-clamp getup. All in all, a decent (if not perfect) costume piece.

very nice looking.
Got lots of compliments, however I did not wear on my face, but rather on a top hat. I would probably have had a hard time getting them to stay on my face because they are VERY floppy in real life...the bridge, the nosepiece, is not solid so each of the eyepieces flips and rolls around. The nosepiece is the only thing that I think brings this piece down; it seems flimsy and I hate having to McGyver up stuff unless it was very cheap. In my opinion a twenty dollar pair of plastic goggles should at least be nice plastic. Also, the little jewelers' lenses are attached only with a clip, so I lost them off the hat several times. I would glue them to the goggles if I were you. The headband is blue-and black striped elastic, not too loud but not period-looking either. It would be nice if it was a leather strap, but for my purpose, wrapped around a top hat and covered with other things like gears and feathers, it was fine. The main lenses are nice and dark, the 'aged brass' look is just painted plastic but looks cool, even close up,and the mini lenses are a nice touch. I will be adding some more little gears. Overall I received several compliments, so if you are not actually going to wear them on your face, great. If you will be wearing them I'd be prepared to cinch that elastic uber-tight so they don't flop around. You might get a headache but you'll look cool.

Very cool! They're quite the spectical
I love these but didn't like the color I bought (purple) I did just am going to buy another color later 😉😍 very cool. Plastic and not heavy♥️ the adjustable little pieces really add to the supergood aesthetic! A must have, in my professional opinion! Fun! Wish they were made of a light metal and prescription, I'd wear these all over, but that's just how I roll😘

Steampunk Approved…
Wow, I can’t believe I ordered this over 11 years ago! 😱 I was perusing for another product in my order history and somehow these goggles surfaced up. I didn’t even know I bought them on Amazon! Anyway, just wanted to put my two cents…11 years later. Ha! These goggles turned out perfectly for my Halloween steampunk costume which I had a stylist wound them into my hairstyle that she created. It looked gorgeous and not only that - well made. Honestly, this along with the rest of everything else made my costume one of the utmost best that I’ve ever had in all of the Halloweens so far. Thanks for the fond memories!

It was as advertised and for an acceptable price. It would have cost me more to make it myself.
