A great tool for someone having difficulty trimming their nails.

These nail clippers are outstanding. I lost the use of my hands due to an illness and a neuropathy. My grip strength is about 5 lb. Typical strength for a man my age is 100 lb. I tried the plier type, they really didn't work. What I like about these is I don't need any hand strength to operate them. You simply push down with the palm of your hanid on the Blue Paddle and it activates the nail clipper. My fingers are also curled in a claw like position making any nail clippers difficult to use, and I am blind in one eye so I have no depth perception. But I was able to cut my own nails for the first time in 2 years. I can't be more happy. Thank you. I have no complaints, but it would be better if the base weighed more, but everything functions as it should. So I won't complain about that I just wanted to mention it.

Until I took off arm, worked great. Liked ease of use. Tabletop sturdy.

I bought it for someone with arthritic hands that makes regular clippers impossible to use. She says they work great!

This is basically a toenail sized clipper embedded in plastic with a large plastic-tipped handle that is easy to grab.I ordered it because one hand is injured and in a hard plastic brace for the foreseeable future.Unfortunately, mine arrived in three pieces. Normally, I would have tried to snap it back together...but the whole reason I ordered it was because I only have the use of one hand at the moment. I wrote the seller, thinking maybe this one was defective but the manufacturer wrote back and said that it might not have been assembled correctly, but all the pieces were there...so just snap it back together! If only I could... Kudos for a quick response, though.I had to find someone with two hands to reassemble it. It doesn’t feel very stable, so I don’t know how long it will stay in place.I was finally able to clip my fingernails. Yay. I wouldn’t usually use this large of a clipper on fingernails, but it did the job.I tried it on my toenails, but it really isn’t meant for that (even though it’s a large clipper), because the clipper is set in a little bit back from the edge of the plastic, so you really have to push the digit into the clipper to reach the blades and it’s awkward to get the foot into the right position. It would work if you don’t mind long toenails, but in that case, why would I buy a clipper?Overall, as you can tell, I’m a bit disappointed with the clipper — at this price point I expected better quality throughout, particularly since it is being marketed as adaptive equipment. I required help to reassemble it, so I couldn’t honestly say that it helps those with physical challenges to be more independent. Still, I can’t find anything else to use one-handed, so I am keeping it and hoping it hangs in there for me.

I have ALS and very little strength in my hands. I had to wedge against something to get it to not slide around. It is not attached to base in front so it moves around when using. I had such high hopes of being able to clip my own nails. I was able to do some, but had to have someone clean up where I could not get because of the clippers shifting.

Easy to use. I have essential tremors of the hands.

I have weakness in my hands and poor coordination. These clippers have been true finger savers. My nails are a little thicker than normal and these cut cleanly. I am able to easily place my finger in clippers and get a smoothie cut.
