P.O.V. Dry Skin Lotion, 24.5 Fl Oz (Pack of 6)

The P.O.V. Dry Skin Lotion is designed to hydrate dry skin and provide protection and nourishment to the skin. I used the lotion on my face and found that it was thin like a normal lotion and absorbed quickly. My face had two red patches when I woke up which does not usually happen to my facial skin. The areas became red and then very dry on the surface of the spots. It took several days for those areas to completely heal and one is still a dry patch. I have not used the lotion on my face again but have used it on my hands, arms, and body. The lotion has not irritated any other area and provides hydration and comfort to my skin. It is not as thick as I was hoping and feels like a normal lotion versus a creamier lotion that takes longer to absorb but sits heavier on my skin. I find it to work well as a body lotion but would not use it on my face again. This may not be a good choice for those who have sensitive skin as there are some ingredients that could make sensitive skin react such as perfume, glycol stearate, glycerin, mineral oil, petroleum, and more. The lotion arrived with the spout up which allowed lotion to come out. I recommend for the spout to be taped down to ensure that it does not turn and pop up in transport. This is a generic and basic dry skin lotion that does work as intended on body skin.

This is a decent lotion. It is fairly basic. It is thick and goes onto my skin nicely, but doesn't absorb very evenly. It has a pleasant, but neutral scent. It leaves my skin moisturized for about an hour, then I need more, so it's not great, but decent.

I have really dry skin so I like some heavy duty lotion. This one unfortunately, does not have any more moisturizing capability than any other lotion.The POV brand is a low budget brand like a store brand or generic.

This lotion has a slightly thinner consistency than I'm used to but the pump dispenses just the right amount for hands and forearms. It seems to moisturize as well as most brands of similar style lotions. I found the scent to be too perfumey. It's not really a clean scent, it reminds me of a church lady. Not that there's anything wrong with that! It's just a little too perfumey for my taste. Overall it's an average lotion for effectiveness.

My hands get pretty dry sometimes and this lotion helps but it doesn't last very long and I feel like it isn't really moistuirizingly deeply or my skin is just not absorbing it. Either way, it's a mediocore lotion that feels a little greasy and doesn't really last as long as I would like.

OK - you get what you pay for. A 6 pack of this lotion only costs $22.10, (as of this review), and they are big bottles. But, the quality is so-so. If you're hoping it will be as good as Curell or Baby Dove it is not. That said, it still does moisturize but I have to apply it twice. It seems creamy when first out of the bottle, but it feels watered down a little bit when applying it. That's why I have to apply it twice. For average quality lotion it's o.k. I gave it 4 stars because of the price/quality. If it was expensive I would have deducted a star or two. I can see this being used in a public place like an office bathroom and would be appreciated by those using it.

I found the scent of this lotion to be somewhat abrupt, though pleasant. It was very greasy and did not absorb quickly, which made it less versatile. However, it didn't irritate my sensitive skin, which was good. The bottle size was large (24.5 fl oz). Overall, I wish this lotion had a milder scent and was less greasy.

Though the texture is smooth and no lingering smell was detected, it becomes too "fluidy" when applied and appears to be thin. The effect is not as long lasting as hoped for (compared to a big box brand, the effectiveness is poor). Quantity for the price seems like a value, but when you factor in the effectiveness, it doesnt seem to be such a great value, after all. This will not be replacing the current fav body lotion..
