I am in my mid-40s with (prematurely) full-on silver hair which I love and do not dye, but it makes finding an eyebrow product challenging. My brows are still totally brown, a dark, ash brown, but see-through and sparse since I hit my 40s. My coloring is low contrast - I have fair skin and blue eyes. (I have been color analyzed a "soft summer") THIS is the brow product I'll be re-ordering, the No. 5 Grey, which is their light gray shade. I tried many, many brow products, both pencil and powder. The problem is that they are nearly all either too dark or too warm. Almost all brown, taupe, or blond brow products go orange on me. Not a match. The cooler dark brown, soft black, and charcoal gray products I tried are just too dark for my soft coloring. Looks like I drew my brows on with a Sharpie black marker. Etude House's light gray pencil is truly gray - almost too cool for me but preferable to the many too warm shades. Even though it's "light" it does darken my natural brows a bit. The color really isn't a perfect match to my brows themselves, but it does match my hair color pretty nicely. The tip of the texture is angled but "fat" - if you're looking for a precision pencil to draw on individual hairs, this is not for you! You are not going to be able to create those on fleek, Instagram brows with this pencil. I think of it more like a shadow for my brows - adding that shadow gives my sparse brows a more filled-in, healthy look. I prefer a more natural makeup look, as opposed to a makeup-y look, so this works for me. It's pretty easy to use - just scribble in your brows and then use the convenient spoolie on the other end to comb through your brows and soften the look. It's a twist-up pencil, so no sharpener needed. The texture is pretty hard and waxy, as expected. I like my brow pencil hard and waxy. It does fade somewhat by the end of a long day, but it doesn't run or smear on me (I live in a cool climate though.) I'm not sure how long it will last or if it will dry out at some point, but I've been using it for about a month so far with no issues.

UPDATE: 3/25 I ordered the gray pencil as I have been doing for years and years, and received the gray brown pencil instead. The gray brown pencil I received was wrapped completely around with a white sticky label that said Gray on the white sticky label. When I opened it up and used it, it was a very warm brown color and clearly not my usual gray. I peeled off the white sticky label and sure enough underneath the sticky label it clearly says gray brown. I am having to return it to UPS to ship it back. I am glad it is free to ship back, but what are they gonna do with it – repackage it and resell it after I used it? This experience was a pain in the butt and I am very disappointed because this has always been my favorite eyebrow pencil, but I like it so much, I am going to go ahead and order again in hopes they get it right this time…I am too old to run around without eyebrows! This works very well for me. As a pale-skinned, natural red-head who has now gone silver-gray, I’ve struggled to find the right brow color and the right product to fill in sparse brows that are also turning silver. The auburn brow gel I used for years while still a red-head no longer worked at all with my silver hair and the taupe and blonds I tried did not look good either. I was skeptical about trying a charcoal gray brow pencil for fear it would be too dark, but to my surprise this brow pencil is PERFECT for me! I even ordered a second pencil to keep in my purse. It’s easy to use, goes on smoothly and stays on fairly well. I do sometimes reapply or touch-up later in the day. I wish they had a companion brow gel or mascara to go with this color.

I bought this in 2020 in the shade #5 grey. The amount of product is about as long as the pen is itself which means you’re not getting stiffed and wind up paying for 5% of actual product and 95% of the packaging. They give you the correct and reasonable amount. To begin I love the color selection, most brands only cater to brown, black and blonde. So I love that they include these grey shades, because my brows are black/very dark brown but whenever I use traditional shades it looks like I tried dying them and the skin got tinted too, or I drew them with a sharpie. This product gave the perfect fade and helped fill in my brows to make it look more natural. But I do have a very oily face, so if I scratch my brows or accidentally wipe near my face it tends to smudge off. I got used to it in time. And to be fair to the brand I’ve never found an eyebrow product that stays all day. I don’t wear makeup much so I’ve only just now run out of the product and I’m back again to order.

Good color. It fills more like a powder so that's why it gives a natural look. But since I have a scar on one of my eyebrows, it doesn't draw on as opaque as I would like so I have to use another pencil to fill it in afterwards. Good for ppl who have a naturally straight shape to their brows because of the shape of the product. That being said, the pencil is fat and hard to see where you are drawing so I have to literally twist the pencil up a lot to see where I am drawing. But appreciate how the ends are two different colors so I know which cap belongs on which end

After letting my highly lightened originally dirty blonde hair grow out to its natural grey/blonde (greige), as opposed to originally having brown to dark brown or blackish hair grown out to a steelish grey, I have been searching for an eyebrow pencil in the greige tone...forever. Many grey pencils have either too dark a tone, or have a blueish tone to them. I had considered microblading, but because my skin is very sensitive, the nickel in the dye from microblading was not an option for me. So, I finally found Etude House Eye Brow pencil and was reluctant at first because of my past experiences with a very wrong brow color. I looked at the options and decided to give the #5 a try. My oh my, am I happy! This is THE perfect choice for a once blonde, now gray headed person whose brows were there but unseen before this wonderful pencil! Easy to use, with outstanding results and very inexpensive... checks all the boxes for me! Sent for 2, so glad I did. Things like this change so often, at least I’m good for a while.

I just ordered my 3rd and 4th pencils in light grey. I always order doubles so I have one to carry with me in my purse. The shipping on all of them was amazing - I received them in 2 days. I used to use Almay, which I really liked, but when I went to my natural silver/grey/charcoal hair I couldn’t find a good grey color that was complementary, Fast forward to Amazon and Etude House. I love this brow color and the way it goes on. It goes on smoothly, fills my sparse eyebrows in and once I use a setting spray on my makeup, it stays all day. I get compliments on my brows now - something that never happened before. And the price is definitely right! This is a genuine review - nothing fake or made up and I don’t know anyone at this company.

I love the etude house brow pencil and has been using it for many years. It comes out very light, which is good as a brow pencil because you don’t want it to be too dark. Just wish it is cheaper on Amazon.

El lapiz lo encontre bastante grueso para mi gusto y para lo que estaba acostumbrada a utilizar. Pero al cabo del tiempo te acostumbras a este... no esta mal al final me ha gustado. Quizas vuelva a comprarlo. Tampoco esta mal de precio para lo que es.
