I was so pleased with the gravel I ordered online,I will never buy in a fish shop again,they are so expensive for silly little bags. Buying a bulk amount 30kg for £30 was to me great value,it filled my 70ltr tank about 2inch in depth,easy to clean using an old sieve and running it under cold water, I chose black as it doesn't show up the green algae so much,very pleased. Once a week I clean using a filter suction pipe.

The media could not be loaded. Got 25kg of this and 25kg of the larger grained gravel for a 4ft aquarium. I did wash the sand first although the instructions said that was not necessary. I'm glad I did. I was really impressed with the colouring and it looks very natural in our tank. I would buy it again.

I purchased this to replace the sand in my aquariums. I ordered 30kg of the 3/5mm and it’s perfect not to big or small. Not as dark as I was expecting but to be honest I much prefer the colour it turned out to be. Also make sure you give it a good rinse! Other wise your water will go very cloudy.

The gravel is not really black and after cleaning a few times is charcoal grey at the most. However this product is easily cleaned and is brilliant for our tropical aquarium.
