DANGER!!!! But, may be a great ball with alterations
I wish I could give this ball 5, but it needs a second hole!!!! I bought this ball because I wanted an eco-friendly option to keep my boy entertained long term. He used to be fine with leftover tennis balls when I got him as a rescue, but mamma spoiled him and now he loves his bouncy (other brand) balls for fetch and refuses to play fetch with any other balls, but they break down to quickly if I let him chew on them. He loves to chew at home, but I didn't want to waste the money tossing ruined balls or keep filling the landfills with plastic. They'd only last about a month. I did my research and figured the Beco Ball was a good environmental and health safety alternative, especially if it lasts. When I received the ball, I noticed it only had one hole. I had heard about the dangers of other brand toys where dogs would get their tongues stuck inside them when people froze peanut butter inside the two holed toy creating a "one hole toy" by blocking the second hole and causing a suction problem where dogs have had serious damage to their tongues, so I stabbed a few holes into the back of the ball thinking that might make the suction a non-issue. My boy was skeptical with this Beco Ball at first, even though it smells nicely of vanilla, but with a treat inside and some peanut butter, he's been pretty excited about it (you can see him in the pic - pretty excited) and it keeps him busy for quite a while! Drives my husband a bit nutty with all the slurping sounds. haha! The other day, his treat was getting a bit soggy, so I dug some of it out and gave the ball back because there was still some peanut butter in it. Thank GOODNESS I was right there when I saw him struggling because HIS TONGUE GOT STUCK IN THE BALL from suction!!!! I was able to pull it off, but I'm not sure he would have been able to do it on his own if his tongue got swollen or whatever. Who knows??? Anyway, I made an alteration to the ball (see pics first tried just an X, but decided to make a hole) and will make sure I ALWAYS have a big piece of a long-lasting treat in there (I don't know what the one shown is_ a friend gave me a baggy of a few) to prohibit his whole tongue to get inside. My hole may make it easier for him to tear apart, so but I'll be keeping a close watch with this alteration. PLEASE BECO BALL, make these toys SAFER and add another HOLE!

Durable rubber ball
My dog is an aggressive chewer. This ball has survived hours of chewing.

Great non-toxic option for playing with your dog
As a trainer who does a large amount of play training every day, I’m always looking for more non-toxic dog toys, that meet the specific requirements for that training. These balls are a great addition. There is even a small one, for smaller dogs such as my current narrow-jawed 25-pounder.I wouldn’t leave it out for any of my dogs to potentially destroy by themselves — but I wouldn’t leave any of our training toys out like that. The things that are well-designed to be left out for a dog to amuse themselves, are generally different than those which are best for cooperative play training.Mind you, I’ve seen no such destruction of the Beco Balls so I’m just guessing about that. But my dogs could easily destroy most balls, if left out. And these seem to me as if they could be chewed up, if left lying around. But, anyway, I won’t find out because the things I leave out for my dogs to chew on and mess around with by themselves, are completely different than the ones I train with!I would also not, personally, use this as a treat dispensing toy. But maybe you would.Bottom line, I would love to see as much market support as possible, for non-toxic dog toys like the Beco Ball. We really need the bar to be set way higher, for safety and non-toxicity of dog toys. So I’m thrilled to add Beco Balls to my already huge stock (hundreds, literally) of dog toys!!

Favorite Toy!
"Where has this been my whole life?" - Tally the dog. She would tell you that it is her FAVORITE toy. Tally is 35 lbs and has a small mouth. She can fit the size small ball in her mouth and loves that she is able to squeeze it so easily. Every dog should have a Beco Ball! Done with breakfast, get her Beco ball. I come home from work, get her Beco ball. I could not believe how much she loves this ball. I found the first one at TJMaxx. It lasted a few months and when it died she did not play with her other balls very often. So off I went to find it online. Now I need to keep an extra ball on hand in case they are discontinued. They ones from Amazon have lasted longer!

Good for feeding dogs who gulp food from a bowl
I put my dog's kibble in the ball to control how quickly she eats. It works well.

Rat Terrier loves it! Pliable, but very tough...
Awesome ball for the doggies -my rat terrier beastie loves them (small size ball inside, medium outside). It's pliable, but extremely durable. Since it is pliable, I feel like it is easier on my dog's jaws and mouth, etc. If (fingers crossed) it is as non-toxic as they say, that is great, because most other balls for dogs are made of toxic smelling plastic and should be avoided for the sake of dogs' health and happiness. Also, the medium-sized ball makes a good whistling noise if you wing it with a 'Chuckit' stick. This is cool because your dog can track it's trajectory via the sound while he/she is running to get it : )

Extremely Durable
My dog tips apart every ball she gets, giving them a life span of about 20 minutes. Because this is hollow and flexible, it stands up to her obsessive chewing and it's easy to throw. We got one of these balls in a Dog Subscription Box and I was happy to be able to order more!

Dog tore it in a matter of minutes.
Is not 'indestructible' as some commented. My dog is an aggressive chewer, so I wasn't expecting it to last too long, but after 20 minutes, she had torn a chunk out of it. :(

STAFFIE LOVES IT AND HAS NOT DAMAGED IT AFTER 1 WEEK CONTINUOUS USE THUMBS UP FROM ME
Unlike some other Leading brands who claim indestructible or long lasting for dogs that chew ,when they clearly dont .This one seems to be what it is designed forBeco dog ball (bought large and then medium as found dog preferred medium as large kept pinging out of her mouth when wet )This one ,when put to actual use , has lasted and looks as good as when i got it.slight distortion to original shape but makes it better for awkward bounce)Our dog is a relentless chewer with teeth like razors and other balls /toys lasted no more than minutes .In some cases even secondsThis toy has survived continuous use for 1 week, and still going strong .like it.

Lastet 5 minutes
Used to have those balls before, and they were great. They bounce irregular, are easy to put in a pocket and the dogs loved to play with them. However, my new young lurcher is an aggressive chewer who managed to get his teeths into the hole and pulled the ball apart...

to say it's well used and well loved would be an understatement
Slightly uneven circle,so keeps a dog guessing when chasing it due to an uneven bounce, and tennis ball sized.Looks and feels weak,it's squidgy and light. However it's the only ball that has lasted unscathed that we have ever had.So far it's been played with, chewed and just held for hours every day for about three months. It seems to hold a fascination over all three dogs that no other kind of ball ever has,to say it's well used and well loved would be an understatement.Have since bought the next size up which is just as popular.Because it is light and compresses it make the perfect ball for playing indoors.Compared even to a tennis ball it feels much less likely to knock anything over etc.

The best
These Beco balls are the best! I have the medium size for my Labradoodle but I bought this small one for a friend's dog. They are the sturdiest dog ball you can get, and I never lose it because it's blue! The dogs love them because they're squishy and the make a whistling noise as the wind blows through the whole when you throw them. I've had mine for over two years and it's still in perfect condition.
