I never drank coffee because I could never get past the bitter aftertaste. I decided to give up carbonation and was determined to make coffee my drink of choice. I just had to find the right coffee. I scoured the internet trying to find a coffee that wasn't bitter. I read a lot of stuff about where coffee beans grow and how they're processed. Finally I found several reviews that said this was a great taste and not bitter. I made the purchase and am so glad I did. It's a great caffeine fix first thing in the morning. I love it! I only drink it in the morning and feel good all day. Definitely will buy this again. My new favorite morning ritual.

Excellent coffee. Medium roast, super smooth, high caffeine. Definitely a house favorite. Buy whole bean if you can, not ground. It's a bit pricier than some of the other goofy named coffees out there, but worth the extra couple bucks. Another nice thing I've noticed, you can drink a whole pot and not get heartburn, as is the case with some other high caffeine brands.

I am someone who has a really hard time getting to sleep at night, last night I was only able to sleep for 2 hours. I was dreading going to work and dragging my feet trying to just get through the day. Luckily mail arrived today through APO and I was able to get a french press coffee maker and some Bitch Slap Coffee. Being so tired I made as much as possible, after the first cup I was thinking, maybe today wont be so bad, by the end of the pot, I felt like a Jack Rabbit who just ripped the biggest line of coke ever!! I was able to get all my work done in record time!The taste was nothing to write brag about I will say, it was pretty smooth and tasted very light (usually lighter coffee has more caffeine). I prefer darker coffee so it may just be personal preference. (The flavor really popped after adding a bit of ground nutmeg to it) I was able to drink it without the need of any cream or sugar.I am giving a 4 star rating because after 2 hours of sleep (and going to the gym yesterday) it really helped me finish the work day. I would give it 5 stars if it was a little bolder in the flavor department.

I confess that I bought this coffee as much for the humorous packaging as for the promise of extra octane. The coffee tastes okay - not great, but not bad either - somewhere between artisan ground beans and Church Coffee*. Smoother than sandpaper, rougher than silk. I have a pretty high caffeine tolerance (I average 5 cups a day - even on weekends), so the extra jolt doesn't hit me too hard. I usually make a small pot of it on Saturday morning when I'm getting ready to hit the gym and need that extra caffeine boost, but the boost isn't as intense as, say, one of those fruity-flavored energy boosters that come in the little bottles or a couple of teaspoons of L-arginine in a glass of water. Also, at $20.00 for a 3/4 lb. bag, I'm not immediately inclined to go back for seconds.*Church Coffee - a/k/a "The Devil's Tears", burned and bitter, tastes like it's been repeatedly reheated in the fires of Hell, served in Styrofoam cups in the narthex or entry vestibule as "hospitality" coffee to unsuspecting visitors or desperate parishioners "looking for an angry fix", brewed in an ancient, industrial drip grinder pot that probably hasn't seen a stiff cleaning since the Fall.

My brother is coffee junkie so I gave this to him as part of a Christmas gift. He loved it and said it was one of the strongest coffees he's had and that the flavor is very smooth . I have to take his word for it as I don't drink coffee .

This coffee is delicious and makes my friends laugh each time they see it. I gave it as a Christmas gift after trying it myself. The beans are lightly roasted and healthy looking. Non of that gross, oil slick dark roast cheap mess. Do recommend for the at home barista who knows good coffee. (my favorite is blue print or wild gift but I can only afford them so much)

Ordered for family member as a gift; mainly because of the name. It’s a family joke. But re-ordered because of smooth flavor and not bitter tasting. Would recommend.
