Smelled Like Fabric Softener
I don’t usually have issues ordering foods from Amazon or Sprout. I’m hoping this was a fluke. My Amazon order contained a bunch of things, some of which were fabrics. When I opened the Amazon box, it smelled like fabric softener. I thought “oh, well at least I know the fabrics aren’t going to have that chemical smell.” I just put the meals into the cupboard and forgot about them. The next day I went to feed my guy lunch and pulled one out. It still smelled like fabric softener. Again, I wasn’t concerned, as smells tend to linger in cardboard. When I put the meal in the microwave and pulled it out (approx. 35 seconds), the actual food smelled like it, too. It was disappointing; my toddler loves Sprout products. I was hoping that this meal would be one that I can fall back on when I don’t have time to cook, but unfortunately not.

Lid won’t peel off
The packaging for Sprout toddler meals is *terrible*. The lid won’t peel off. It’s glued on so strongly that when you are able to peel it back, the lid would rather dissect itself into two layers than peel properly. This happens literally every time, with every bowl. So be prepared to fight with the lid, or use a knife; and either way be prepared for a mess, getting pasta sauce on your fingers, plastic remnants everywhere, etc. This is terrible, and Sprout should be ashamed.Oh, the food itself is fine, but the packaging is so terrible that it ruins what should be a fun experience of feeding your kiddo.

Too expensive
$10 for 1 bowl of baby food? I should have read better & i rushed through buying it because it said "pack of 1" I thought it would be a pack as in more than 1. And my kid didn't even like it. Neither did I, it didn't taste good. How can 1 tiny bowl of baby food cost $10? It was my mistake for buying it but still.

Liked the taste and texture
I guess everybody’s taste is different . But to me, my 7 year old daughter and my 1 year old son , they taste pretty good. This is not regular Mac and cheese which is pretty much loaded with cheese and super salty. The sauce has a combination of butternut squash and cheese. And you can taste them both in the sauce. It has no salty taste - like regular Mac and cheese either. Pastas are whole not mushy, so your toddler can grab it with her fingers. I think our family will give it 5 stars and we are not easily satisfied by the way. So for all the negative reviews I would like to mention that everybody’s taste is different and for the moms who are looking for a good Mac and cheese for their kids I would suggest try 1 pack and see if your kid likes it first before buying the whole 8 pack set. But in my opinion it’s pretty good.

Healthy AND delishious!
My daughter LOVES these meals and I feel good about giving her healthy "mac n' cheese." They are quick and easy to prepare making lunch or dinner a breeze.

Impossible to get cover off
The food itself is good, BUT the lid is basically glued on with gorilla glue so it is nearly impossible to remove. It's so bad that I am taking away ALL stars for every Sprout food of this type.

Yes please!!
I am constantly looking for easy, healthy, delicious options for my 2.5 year old. Sprouts Toddler Meals are perfect. They sneak in those “dreaded” veggies, taste great, and fill her belly. Definitely recommend for go-to meals in a snap!!
