I bought these because I needed to lower a tool cabinet behind my table saw by one half inch, to let boards being sawn pass over the top of the cabinet. The 2-1/2" locking swivel rollers replaced the 3" locking swivel rollers of another brand. The 2-1/2" new casters installed easily, using the same base plate size. Compared to the otherwise excellent previous casters, the new rollers have a bit higher precision in the swivel plate, look--and are--very well made, and are a joy to use. Despite having a half-inch smaller roller diameter, the new Casoter casters roll even more easily than the previous three-inch casters. The smaller-diameter wheels on the new casters are also much wider and that more than compensates in rolling ease for the smaller diameter. These are some of the best casters that I have installed. Highly recommended.

Very nice quality but dimensions are WAY off. Do not build a project counting on these dimensions as we did. Overall height is 4" not 4.33, width is 3 1/8 not 2.52 and the length is 4 1/16, not 3.66. The 3-star rating is only due to the measurement information being incorrect. Otherwise, we're very happy with the wheels. We are keeping them and reworking the project to accommodate them because the wheels are so nice.

I got these rollers when they were $32 instead of the current $48 which seems a bit pricey, but they worked very well for my application - a large dresser (not that heavy ) with a TV that I roll close to the bed at night and away during the day. I'm glad I got a wide 3" caster because anything less would have sunk into the carpet too much and be too hard to roll.There is a slight sound when the caster is pivoting that first worried me. There is no sound when rolling. I guess the ball bearings and race surface used for the pivoting either aren't perfectly smooth or perfectly lubricated, but I don't really care about that part - it's the rolling that I cared about and that works well.

I actually used 2 of these casters on a 6' 1500# barbeque island that I made. I had to be able to move it after constructing so I placed two of these casters in the middle and rolled the island into place. Worked beautifully!

I used this caster set to replace a set of casters on a Shop Fox mobile base that had failed due to the weight of the planer, 900 lbs. I had to drill new mounting holes and make a clamping bracket for two of the bolts as the existing pads were too small. It works quite well.

These casters are low & wide with twin bearings, able to carry the full load of my table saw, Happy, Happy.

Strong nice looking wheels. Definitely holds the weight!
