Yoolax Motorized Solar Shade Romote Control Light Filtering Roller Blinds Transparent Sight Auto Window Blinds (White)

We bought 2 of these to cover our massive slider in May 2022. I wanted to wait a year or so to give a review so I could speak from a lot of use. These shades are great looking. They’re relatively quiet, and the battery lasts months. I am currently charging them up for the 3-4th time since we installed them. They arrived in a timely manner, and were exactly what we ordered. If you’re on the fence about these, hop off and buy them. These are amazing. We are actually about to purchase another one for a another large window.

Good bits first:So far, once I got the remote working, everything is great. Amazon asked me to rate "sheerness" not sure what they mean as I didn't want a sheer. But, this has a nice translucence while blocking the bright sun. Operation is smooth, and it is easy to add set points.Obviously, for the price it can't be beat in the market currently.Now, some thoughts. This is not a "don't buy this" review, more like "keep this in mind and read the description carefully."The SMART motor only works with certain Alexa devices - check the description. I don't have Alexa but thought I needed the SMART motor to do any home automation integration. You actually don't, for most home automation you are going to need a separate hub.The reason I recommend against the SMART right now is that there are no installation videos, etc. available yet. Maybe soon they will have one. It has a different remote that is not a generally available and easy to find remote. The REMOTE motor comes with a remote that you can find elsewhere. This was frustrating for me as I had a problem with my remote which made it very hard to do the initial sync, and I couldn't find anything online about the remote I have. Being completely fair to Yoolax they have offered to send a replacement if my problems persist, but it took me two days to diagnose and thought I might have to send back the whole thing just because of the remote.My shade is 6 feet wide, I hung it myself but it took a lot of effort. Highly recommend if you are doing wide to have a helper present. I wasn't really thinking about the weight and had to mount this higher than I wanted in order to use more hanging brackets. My initial idea was to have the shade below the top jamb but this was dumb on my part, the shade is too heavy to only be supported at the ends with the included hardware. I guess you could custom make some brackets if you wanted to do it this way. All this to say that if you are doing an "outside mount" the only good option will be to hang above the jamb, so size accordingly.As with all customized things that are purchased online, do your work ahead of time, don't guess and think you can adjust.

Love our new shade —Customer service worked me promptly to make changes and shipping was super fast!! The quality is better than expected along with installation being smooth!I did add a Palladian shelf to attach the blind to that I purchased from Home Depot due to the placement across the rather large window which was $110 but it all fit together seamlessly!

The media could not be loaded.  The product itself is solid and we have purchased 5 blinds from this company already. However the support is also amazing. Michael in Sales helped me with a warranty issue with a motor that had stopped running. After they had me troubleshoot it myself and send a video of the problem, they quickly sent out a replacement motor. The entire process was painless and it solidified my decision to buy from them. I have so many more windows left to do and I know I will buy as many blinds from Yoolax as possible.

Easy to install, works and looks good

I've been searching for window coverings for awhile and everything has been so expensive. Anytime I've looked for anything motorized, it instantly adds another $200 to the cost per window and our house has a lot of windows. I figured I would take a shot at this product to see if it would fulfill our needs since it was so much cheaper than anything else. I'm very satisfied with my purchase. The product is very nice quality blind. The material feels like other fabrics I've seen at fancier stores. The installation is fairly easy though I think my measurements were a little off so it was a little tight trying to get it to fit in my window. Note to others - actually measure the top of where you want to install (I measured the bottom assuming it was the same). You also might want to subtract maybe 0.1 inch or so just in case. I gave 4 stars because the blind is very very slightly crooked. The only reason I could tell was that the blind was slightly long and so when it hit the window sill, I could see that one side was hitting more than the other. However, when i set the down limit so it doesn't hit the sill, you can't even tell that it's slightly crooked so I definitely wouldn't fault it. Programming the remote is a little tricky. I had to reset it in order to set the up/down limits because it just wasn't working. However, it was simple enough to fix and now it works awesome. I had ordered the solar panel with the idea that I wouldn't ever need to charge. However, the solar panel was much larger than I expected. Thus, I ultimately decided not to use it because it would be visible when I stick it to the window, solely for aesthetic purposes. Overall, I would definitely recommend considering this is cheaper than quotes I've received for non-motorized rollers.
