Just got this today for my 2016 Cooper S. Seems strong enough, but has one HUGE drawback to me that you should know about. It comes with NO mounting screws, which isn't a big deal when mounting the bracket to the bumper. It IS a big deal however when you go to mount your plate onto the bracket itself.The mounting holes for the license plate itself are pressed in threaded aluminum mounts, and therefore require exact size, length, and thread-count machine bolts to work. So, if you buy this, be prepared to spend a fair amount of time at your hardware store finding the right bolts to work with it. Since the bolts are so specific, they should be supplied with the bracket. HUGE pain in the backside, plus added expense to make it work. Would not buy again.
