Sturdy enough for most jobs and stylish enough to look at.

If given the choice between ugly and pretty for the same item
Let me tell y'all about this can opener. Now one would think that a simple can opener is nothing more than such. But, I use my can opener at least daily,so it must be functional as well as attractive to the eye. The Pioneer Woman delivers once again. This can opener is a thing of beauty well worth the price for an equally functional, but ugly can opener. If given the choice between ugly and pretty for the same item? Well, not rocket science. A little extra research was all that was required to find my beautiful can opener. Thank you Amazon for the perfect delivery

Disappointed
I literally just opened this opener to use and hoping that it wasn’t a new product even though it wasn’t described as new. This can opener will not even open a can of soup. Very disappointed.Do NOT waste your money!

Not very effective can opener
I am so sad to write this negative review and put it off long enough. We were highly disappointed in this 'Pioneer Woman' can opener. It was pretty to look at, but I would be surprised if she actually uses this particular can opener in her kitchen. My husband was so proud to bring home this can opener for me as he knows my loyalty to PW. I hold PW in such high regards, her quality of kitchen tools were expected to be utmost quality and outstanding performance in my mind. This can opener was one of the worst we've ever had in 35 years of homemaking. Upon first use it was hard to turn, and skipped sections of the lid while attempting to open any size can. It was difficult to operate, wouldn't hold a clamp and turn at the same time, and was at best rough and not very effective. Neither my husband nor four teens in the house could get it to operate without struggle, frustration, and ultimately grabbing a knife or prying tool to get the can open enough to squeak out the contents. I was determined to like it because it was Pioneer Woman label, not to mention the joy in which my husband surprised me with it. Yet, after multiple attempts over a couple weeks time it got to where it literally would not cut at all, just glide around the can useless if it even latched on. I do still love, love, love Pioneer Woman and know we would be greatest of friends once we ever get to meet. Maybe we got a dud, so I'm going to continue trying her other 'brand' kitchen items and hope for the best.

Badly Made. Falls apart
I’ve been pretty financially challenged (read: poor as dirt) in my time and have happily bought 2nd hand can openers and, sometimes, the cheap(ish)ones from the grocery store out of desperation. This can opener amazed me. Ive used it to open maybe 12 cans in 5 months, and today it just gave up its stainless steel fake rosewood pioneer girl label ghost and LITERALLY fell apart trying to open a can of tomato sauce. It just fell apart in my hands! Luckily I had bought a cheap supermarket one many months ago before I decided to purchase this one. Pictures enclosed.Total crap. Do not buy.

Not Impressed
Not impressed with this can opener. Started out great.. smooth operating, with larger grips for comfort while holding and turning it. Then it stopped working/cutting after about a month of use. I've had $2 cheapo metal openers hold up longer than this thing. Definitely not worth the price paid. Sorry, Pioneer Woman..I won't be buying any more of your products.

Bad purchase
This lasted a month. It did not open cans very well and within a month of having it the gears fell apart. This was way too expensive to be such crap.
