I recommend at least 8 outlets for the main, runner-up, and top-of-the-line contenders, at least four for the nightstand contenders, and one or more for the light-duty electronics. 9 foot power cord makes it more convenient to use and safer.Built-in cord wrap with hang holes provides convenient cord management. It is integrated keyhole slots on bottom panel provide convenient wall or desk mounting. Yellow color outlet alerts you and others that power cords and tools are in use. It is really well made with very sturdy case and power surge protection.Friendly Tips:Never daisy-chain multiple surge protectors to add outlets or plug a surge protector into an extension cord. This is an easy way to exceed the current ratings on the surge protector and even the wiring in your walls. The best-case scenario is that you trip a breaker or blow a fuse. The worst-case scenario is that something starts melting. That’s the opening act for an electrical fire. Never plug a surge protector into an ungrounded outlet using a three-prong to a two-prong adapter. Always replace your surge protectors after any large event lightning strike down the block, multiple outages in rapid succession and if you’re plugging in new gear, check each outlet for burn marks or any sign of damage.Do not plug space heaters into an extension cord or power strip because space heater use a lot of power, and it is increasing your chances of overloading the outlet.

This eight outlet metal surge suppressor is designed for harsh environments.
The media could not be loaded. I live in Florida, which is notorious for power problems, so not using well designed protection is inviting disaster, which can be very costly considering my investment in the gear this is protecting. My room is very limit of the wall outlets, and my problem is I had a lot of electronic devices. This outlet surge protector gave the power to my devices and cleaned my big cords mess. This power strip and surge protector is very well designed. The 3-prong plug fits snugly into the wall outlet. It is powering and protecting a basement home media center with a TV, printer, network switch, and perhaps someday a game console has a decent amount of surge protection. The spacing of the outlets works for what I need it for. I see some people have complained about the spacing of the outlets. 1800 joules to protect sensitive electronics from a surge. This power strip gives you 8-outlets within reach in addition to two USB ports. The lighted switch contains an integrated circuit breaker. The AXTRA exterior matches its solid performance with a sturdy, utilitarian shell. Its veneer seems built to stand up to most minor scratches and scuffs. Its thick, rubberized, 9-foot cord making it more convenient to run underneath bookshelves and couches.Electronics and all other electrically powered anything for a home or office can accept brief amounts of much higher maximum voltages, which you can logically determine must be true as modest surges are routine and electronic equipment in homes isn’t constantly failing without a surge protector; it’s the big surges that need to be blocked. The main things to like about it is that it is in fact ETL listed. and that there is an LED indicator that will let you know the protector is still protecting as it should and whether it’s properly grounded. With all of the technologies around, we use countless electronic goods in our house. A single person uses at least 4 devices, laptop, phone, tablet, ear-pods so the outlets at home is never enough, but with this product me and my brother don’t fight no more for outlets. This eight outlet metal surge suppressor is designed to provide safe, reliable surge protection in harsh environments. It can protect connected equipment against damaging surges, spikes and line noise. Surge protector heavy duty features include a rugged metal case stands up to the harshest environments. If the devices that you want to plug this into exceed the rated (1875W or over 15 amp) on this product then this is not the power strip for you.

It's A Worthy Product!
First off the build quality is very nice, it doesn't feel cheap. The cable that you plug into the wall is a nice thick wire gauge. A light to alert you when your joules have been expended and your electronics no longer have surge protection. We are using this surge protector to keep our computer and printer safe from any power surges. We have had several thunderstorms last week, and one of which had close lightning strikes. Although there was no damage to any electronics in the house from that strike, that laptop computer , printer and wireless router were actually powered on during the storm, and there was not damage to it. The whole unit can be turned off by a flip of a switch and the switch will shut itself off if there is a lightning strike. I use this to hide my cords behind my wall-mounted TV. It's low profile enough to plug in the TV and sound bar, and still fit behind the low profile TV mount. The LED light for the grounded and surge protection indicator isn't very bright. So it won't disturb my night sleep. It’s very durable with a long power cord and a large number of ports. Everything about this power strip was as expected. The build of this power strip surge protector is a lot better than what I was expecting for the price.
