This was purchased for my 1 year old son. Although he's not walking by himself yet, he's climbing on everything & is able to drag his toys all over the family room. I thought this might help contain the mess & look better in the family room than the overflowing empty diaper box we were using. It's nicer than expected with lots of room in the trunk with room to spare.The trunk lid easily lifts up & then slides back under the shelf so you don't have to worry about pinched fingers or holding it up to get toys out. Our baby hasn't quite figured out how to slide the lid back yet, so I usually leave it open for him till he's done playing.There is a small gap that runs along the entire length of the closed lid that is large enough to fit my fingers under. This feature prevents the baby from ever pinching his fingers while closing the toy box.The entire chest is a sturdy plastic, was simple to put together, and is a lot taller than I expected. Our son has trouble reaching the first shelf & can't reach the top shelf, so I think this would be an ideal toy box for older children. I expect this will last my son for a years to come.The only negative is I wish the front wall of the chest under the lid had a thicker ledge for my son to grip. However, I don't see this being a problem for older children who no longer need help propping themselves up.I would recommend this to other parents & am very happy with our purchase.

I was happily surprised with how much this toy bin holds. My husband and I have purchased several different toy bins over the years and have been disappointed with most of them to the point that we just stopped buying them. Most that we have gotten were poorly made or the size was just, for lack of better words, pathetic. Especially when you have 3 kids under the age of 5. That being said when I received this it was simple to assemble 2 pieces with 2 screws to attach the bookshelf portion to the base taking less than 5 minutes to get together.The lid slides in between the bookshelf and the top of the toy bin or can be removed when the kids are playing. The lid is light enough that my one year old can access the toys easily and I don't have to worry about him hurting himself.All three of my kids like this toy storage bin mostly because of the easy access to the toys and the ability to place things on the shelves to decorate.It does seem to be very sturdy and I am fairly certain it's not going to tip over due to the weight of the toys in the bottom.I am so happy with this purchase that we plan on buying 2 more so each of our kids have one.

This is a great toy box. It is colorful and well made. It is big enough to hold a lot of toys and my 2 yr old grandson can get whatever toys he wants. I also like the top to put his books on. It is 3 pieces to put together which took about 5 mins to do.

This toy box has been well used, and it still looks new ! PLUS..IT HAS SHELVES FOR THE IMPORTANT THINGS TO OUR LITTLE ONES ! *I highly recommend this.

I love this toy chest. The colors are nice and it looks good sitting in my living room, it is sturdy and the bookshelf at the top adds more storage capacity. It is quite roomy and will hopefully last my son a long time. The only thing I dont like it that the lid just slides and is not attached in any way. It would be better if the top was had little things of the sides that slid in a track so it did not come off so easily. Otherwise, great product!

Love it! Light weight, sturdy, and safe for our little guy. Super easy to set up, took less than 10 minutes. It's nice you don't have to worry about little fingers being injured. Lot's of room for toys, and the bookshelf is great.

We love our toy box! It’s big enough to hold a ton of toys! And the shelves add extra toy space as well... we have lots of stuffed animals and so they go on the shelves! It also holds up to my 2 and 1 year old climbing on top of it lol! The lid stores very nicely in the little slot and doesn’t block the toy box or the shelves! I would definitely recommend this product!

This toy chest is great! Very easy to assemble and super sturdy, though I do wish they would pre drill the two holes. Be sure to push the bookcase portion flush to the base to lock in the lid. My nearly two year old son was excited to load up his toys. After modeling opening the door a couple times he got the motion down. I highly recommend this chest.
