Lasko2506 16" Performance Table Fan

First off this fan is BIG and it works so good!The size is fantastic and cools us off better than our 250.00 ceiling fan or any other fan in our room. In fact it works so well that prior to getting it we were stuck using one standing fan, one table fan, and a ceiling fan blowing on us and we were still hot. Now, we only use this fan and threw 2 of the other fans out.The speeds are 3, 2, and 1 but would be better labeled Hurricane, Tornado, and Medium... lol. Not complaining though... we use it on Tornado (2) and love it. Another complaint about the speeds is how they are set up... why not 1-3 so you can gradually adjust to your need... why start with hurricane winds?It is quite by fan standards. Living in Houston, TX we have had hundreds of fans and never one that was actually quite and still performed to meet our needs. Does it make noise.. yes... does it vibrate and rattle, and sound like a helicopter... no. It is quite enough that I hear my kids noises from way down the hall without an problem so it is more than quiet enough for us.Quality is fantastic. It is solid, not thin plastic crap. It is well put together so that the blades do not rattle the cover, or cause the base to rock. The knob to control the speed is well placed and has the usual location button for oscillating mode.My favorite feature besides the solid built frame, and actual wind producing design is the tilt. OMGosh... where has that been all my life! :) No stupid knobs to loosen and then busting your knuckles against the screen and base while turning the knob back to tighten it in place once the fan is at right height or angle. Just use your hands and tilt to where you want it.Cant say enough good about this fan! Worth the $ and one of our favorite purchases this year so far!!!!!!

I ordered this fan for my larger spar room. Its very similar in design to my 12inch Lasko fan. However this fan has a larger base and more powerful motor. Its just as easy to assemble and works just as well as my 12inch fan, however the difference in CFM is very noticeable. This 16inch Lasko easily moves around twice as much air compared to the 12inch which is perfect for a larger room.The materials used are basically the same however this fan is more quiet with zero mechanical noise (12inch fan has slight mechanical noise from oscillating gears nothing loud or annoying though). This 16inch fan it does have more wind noise which is obviously from having a larger blade. Build quality between the two is much the same.Lasko makes nice fans for the money, they still deliver on power and they still make a good quality motor which means the fan will last you a while before needing to be replaced. Overall I'm very happy with this 16inch Lasko and my 12inch Lasko.If your looking for a nice affordable oscillating fan to move around allot of air then I'd highly recommend this 16inch Lasko.

It's pretty good, but nothing amazing. Seems as most products like this these days are one of two things. Cheap as crap and cost is affordable. May or may not last very long, and may or may not work very well. The other option is WAAAAY overpriced and works like the affordable priced one should work. So basically product costs for things like this have gone up, while quality has gone way down, so value is atrociously bad. You used to be able to buy high quality, long lasting products for affordable prices, but thanks to greedy horrible CEO's and corporations, that's no longer a real thing! So you're stuck buying something like this. It works, it's decent, it's not expensive, but you feel like you paid too much for a piece of crap that could fall apart or break at any minute. This thing is flimsy, the backing on the motor easily falls off if you even touch it wrong. It is not crazy loud, but it's not even close to quiet like my old Panasonic fan I had for ages. And it can make funny sounds from the plastic squeaking. The high is like most people say (borderline tornado), and the other speeds are great as well. We like it, but it's nothing great. Will be interesting to see how long it lasts. It's been about 6 months and it's still going.

I’ve bought this twice. Perfect for the bedroom. The First one Lasted over 4 years and we use it every night.

It's wide so you get better air flow

This fan is very powerful with lots of airflow. However, it feels kind of cheap for a product that was made in the U.S. The whole fan is made from plastic, thus making it pretty light compare to other fans in the market. In addition, the fan blades were not balanced correctly; therefore, at maximum power, the whole fan was shaking pretty bad. When I took the blades off and let the motor run by itself, it was very quiet and did not vibrate at all. I do not know whether it was just my fan or not, but if you leave this fan on a table with other items around it, you should expect to hear noises from surrounding items being vibrated by the fan. It's pretty noisy by itself too.

Works awesome for me! Some negative reviews talk about noise, but I think it operates fairly quiet for its size. You are moving a large volume of air with 16-inch blades. The only noise is the sound of air rushing; there is no mechanical noise. Three speeds satisfy a variety of requirements. High, or #3, really moves a lot of air, and there is some noticeable sound, but again only from air movement, nothing mechanical. This 16-inch fan sure beats the 12-inch models I have used in the past. I use it in my home office, on #2 setting within 10 feet of me, and I don't pay any attention to it. If you want to move air for a reasonable cost, this is the fan for you.

I bought the very same fan 15 years ago. It did an enormous amount of cooling all day and many hot weather nights. When it was finally worn out, I wanted and bought the exact same model. This is a really good fan!

This fan is much noisier than I expected, even on the lowest setting. Therefore I only want to have it on as little as possible when I'm in the room.. Two of the four little plastic little pads on the bottom of it had fallen off and I found them in the box. It seems like pretty cheap plastic construction. It does move the air around though, even on low, but I would look further if I was buying another.
