Good so far...
Searched long for a schematic for my old Dayton winch, but eventually figured it out with a VOM. With the blank end up, the left small nut (to trigger coil) is ground; the right one is +. The normal position of the contacts is closed to the lower bolts; energized is open to the lower, and closed to the side bolts. This 6 pin design isolates the ground from the chassis; the 5 pin grounds the coil through the chassis. Caution: I ruined one by not supporting the inner nut while tightening the outer nut. Hope it lasts 30 years like my last one! Maranatha

Purchase something else.
The solenoids I received and installed lasted about 5 minutes. These are supposed to be acceptable replacements for a Ramsey Winch. Worked for about 5 minutes when one relay stuck in the out position. After about 5 minutes it finally released and then stuck in the reverse position ( winch cable “In” direction) NOT acceptable!!! I added a much larger load relay in series with the positive battery cable in case this happened. Saved my winch. Otherwise this could have caused a winch motor failure, vehicle damage, or injury. By the way, It takes at least an hour to mount these on the winch. How about paying for my labor!
