Pack of 100 5x7 BLACK Picture Mats Mattes with White Core Bevel Cut for 4x6 Photo + Back + Bags

I create small embroidered pieces for craft fairs. These mats are a great value. I secure everything with a glue gun and they present well in the cellophane sleeves that are included. It allows me to sell my work at a reasonable price and as an alternative to more pricey framing.

I have walls of photos (family archives, aerospace, etc.) to make my office more "alive". These are great frames for casual display needs.

The frame and the back piece are excellent quality and worked well for framing prints of artwork. My only complaint is the clear cellophane slips all had a crease in them. It wasn’t extreme but enough to make me give only 4 stars instead of 5. I did also order a separate pack of just the cellophanes and those too also had the same crease. It’s not bad enough to make them unusable, but I am very picky when it comes to displaying my artwork for sale.

Not really black

This is perhaps one of the best "quantity" deals on photo mats that I have ever found. I find these mats, backs and bags to work perfectly for the many "special" 4 x 6 prints taken over the years and for preserving photos sent to me from family and friends, and for those that I send out as gifts.With, or without a frame the black finish and beveled cut with white core provide a classy way of showing off either color of black & white prints.I am also impressed with the all white color, quality/thickness of the mat backings. Often the backings are thin brown cardboardI recently bought a number of similar 5x7 black mats from another source with openings sized for my older 35mm 3 1/2" x 5" prints but without backings. Lucky me to be able to find this deal with backings here on Amazon.EDIT: I see that these mats sold (on Amazon) WITHOUT backer boards received a less than 5 star rating. Although I can understand why that person might have been less than pleased; it IS the backer board that provides most of the support/structure to unframed work. Please do yourself a favor and spend the "extra" money and buy these mats WITH the heavy duty (not kidding) backers.The protective bags are crystal clear and seem like mylar/polyester not cheap plastic. This is an additional plus.I also must commend the seller Golden State Art for not only the nice price and quality of these mats, but also the exceptional packaging and fast shipping. I will share/recommend these mats to family and friends.

Good quality mats complete with backing and bags. In my original review I erroneously reported that I only received 50 instead of 100. That's because I did a fast count through the see-through packaging as I was intending to store the unopened product until I was ready to use the mats. But after removing the shrinkwrap, I realized that there were indeed 100. The mats and backing are very thin (though, I think, commensurate with the small 5x7 size) -- so when stacked together in the packaging, it's easy to miscount.

I ended up not liking how the black side looked with my photos so I ended up flipping it and using the other side, no biggie.Not a product you want to expose to moisture in any way. The material will definitely come apart. It feels like recycled paper which I don't have an issue with just keep the no moisture part in mind.If you have a shiny finish to your paint and want to stick it to your wall good luck unless it is with permament glue.Otherwise works👍

I was so pleased with the quality of these matts! Ordered in a hurry in order to finish gifts for Christmas, I was worried that at the price, I had made a huge mistake. Visions of crooked, flimsy matts danced in my head, but when they arrived, I was delighted! I will be ordering these matt sets in other sizes in the future!
