The construction of these filters looks very similar to the REAL AIRMEGA filters that are about $80+. There is a reason these are about 1/2 as much. That reason is simple, they are less than 50% effective than the brand name filters. I purchased three sets of these. I have two Air Megas and my mom has one. Do I have seems a total of six filters (2 in a box) by this company. They were all identical. Look like the “real thing” but lack the TRUE HEPPA QUALITY. There is about 1/2 as much charcoal alone in these poorly made knock offs. Do not buy them if you want the full and amazing purity of air from these machines! But the real replacements. **Q: Why is my air quality getting worse when I use these???** A: Cause they are counterfeit from China **Q: How well does it remove VOCs?** A: Also curious about this. Neither road dust nor pollen is a VOC. **Q: Which side of filter is the front** A: Carbon filter side is supposed to face out.
