GOgroove Computer Speaker Mini Soundbar - USB Powered PC Sound Bar with Easy Setup Wired AUX, Stereo Audio, Microphone Port, Volume Control Knob, Under Monitor Design for Desktop (Black)

The built-in left channel speaker in my longtime HP ENVY 27 IPS monitor (which has Beats Audio capability) recently became inoperative. Definitely a hardware issue, as the 3.5 mm headphone output jack on monitor still retained both channels. Rather than repairing, decided to purchase external speaker(s) which would plug into the monitor’s headphone jack. After considering various options, ordered GOgroove’s soundbar speaker product. Good choice! Very pleased with result. Hook up was easy—USB-A cable connection for power and 3.5 mm headphone jack cable for plugging into monitor headphone port. Plus, unit’s volume control knob is illuminated by blue LED lighting when powered on. This knob also switches off the device and associated blue light when turned fully counterclockwise. Additionally, the soundbar has its own separate 3.5 mm headphone port for listening that properly mutes the external speakers. Likewise, there is a separate 3.5 mm microphone input port; but I didn’t utilize due to my webcam setup. In terms of performance, speaker output and frequency response seem to be quite adequate—in fact, comparable to the original monitor speakers before left channel went out. Another plus is that new external GOgroove soundbar fits neatly below the monitor bottom with resultant pleasing aesthetics--and doesn’t require any additional space. Only concern is overall long-term durability and reliability--which is unknown. However, GOgroove.com does offer encompassing 3-year warranty (with 2-year extension) upon purchase registration.

I’m so pleased with this purchase! I’ve been having trouble whenever I work remote with the volume of my laptop. Nothing seem to fix it, and other speakers that I had tried didn’t work. This one works beautifully, even at a low volume setting. I no longer have to strain to hear what people are saying in meetings! And I love that it is a knob that you turn that makes it easy to control the volume. I find that buttons are not well tuned and often go too far too fast. The only odd thing are the plugins. There is one for headset, and one for speaker. each is marked with the appropriate symbol. The only problem is the headset one is what works for the speakers. And the speaker one works for the headset. Was easy to figure out the first time I used it what was wrong, but it’s something that should be fixed by the manufacturer!

The sound is significantly better than my old external speakers. But the real bonus was easy access to the headset and microphone plugs. PROS: Nice looking; Great volume control dial. Reasonably good sound (for the price). It does what I want it to do, so I am satisfied. I got rid of my wobbly two-speaker set that never fit right on my desk; fell over often and had awkward controls. Price: I thought the price was good... free shipping was a bonus. CONS: Not enough to be an issue but here are some observations: 1) The volume control doesn't have a mute. That would be nice 2) The plug n play feature didn't automatically kick in. Had to set it as the default speakers over the internal ones. (WIN 10 Settings...). I had a brand new computer so many settings were the defaults. Took a few minutes to figure it out and after the GO Groove was set as the default, have had no issues. I gave it a rating of 3 stars based on this little annoyance. 3) Volume from some sites doesn't respond much to turning the volume up. Sometimes have to adjust the master volume (taskbar) or sometimes nothing jacks up the sound. Some yahoo videos, etc may not broadcast with output volume, but may improve if you use a headset. It's not a big deal but you should be aware since there are several places to adjust volumes and they can impact your listening.

This is a great little inexpensive sound bar for your pc. It is not intended for nor will it appease anyone's taste which might venture towards the high end/audiophile wants. For most daily sound reproduction and casual use this is a great deal. It does not really take up much real estate on the physical desktop and is easily attached to a computer through the input/outputs on your computer. It is powered by USB so either a USB port must be open on your computer or a separate USB wall charger will be necessary. The cords which connect to the USB and speaker/microphone ports on your computer should be ample for most desktop configurations. (Yes, there is a microphone built in as well.) The lighted on/off/volume knob is handy in low light situations. The front mounted headphone and microphone jacks work and are convenient for those requiring a separate microphone or headphone for specific applications. It should also work with ANY operating system as it does not require any separate driver installation. It works very well on my Linux system. If your intent is to stream audio from Amazon, Pandora or other services, you might be a bit disappointed as the low end is missing as I anticipated. Still, for the less than $30.00 I spent, I am extremely happy with the no muss, no fuss installation and no hands on required for the daily use this unit provides. I considered a four star rating due to the lack of the low end but I knew the size of the speakers before purchasing so I knew before hand what I was and was not getting.

Good soundbar, with a few critical flaws if you need to use corded headphones from time-to-time. Bought this because my pc needs speakers. I've been using it with headphones alone for nearly 6 months (Covid-19 Work-From-Home Build). My WFH setup is in my bedroom, so to avoid disturbing my wife, I use headphones often. However, there are times its nice not to have to wear them, and times where I want to share the audio with her or my kids, or just have background music playing in the room. The SonaVERSE UBR arrived promptly (2nd day via Prime) and was packed inside an oblong Amazon box. Could have included something to prevent the speaker box from moving around in it. Plugged the audio in, audio out and USB into the back of my machine. The soundbar works well - was able to turn up the volume without distortion (didn't take it to max) and it sounded good (I'm no audiophile though). The volume control has a nice blue glow under it - and nice feel - clicks from off to on and then has some resistance and light clicks as you turn the dial - feels very good. The problem I encountered was when I plugged my headphones back into the device. The first thing I noticed is that the volume dial doesn't control the headphone jack volume. So I got blaring full volume into the headphones until I lowered it in windows. That, by itself is really annoying - as I want to turn my windows volume to max, and then control the sound output using the volume control when using the soundbar. Naturally, I'd want the same when I plug my headphones in. Second issue, which was the deal killer, was that there's noise on the headphones line when nothing's playing, or when it's low volume. This might not matter as much when listening to loud music, but when listening to audio or using it for calls, it's horrible. I noticed that when I reached around back to disconnect the audio wires, just moving them caused the the noises to change. This suggests the wires are poorly insulated/balanced. The issue was subdued when I plug the soundbar into alternative audio ports on the front of my box, but it's still there. (plugging the same headphones into either the back or front audio output is completely absent of any noise). I contacted Amazon and they promptly sent me a replacement. Tried it and still getting noise. To make matters worse, the audio port had some play in it and I couldn't get stereo sound out of it without trying repeatedly to adjust the plug in it it. The second box had one of those leaflets saying "STOP - Do not return this product...". It claims Gogrove.com/support offers 24/7 tech support. While I don't think this is serviceable, I decided to try them out. Unfortunately the website informs you that they only offer M-F 8/5 Pacific time. I submitted a ticket, but don't expect to be contacted as it's Sunday. Sending both back. If you need to use headphones with your speakers/soundbar, skip this product.

I bought this soundbar to replace my 2.1 speaker setup and declutter my desk. Unfortunately a month after purchase this piece of junk has crapped out and gotten flakey. The volume will randomly shoot up and down. A lot of times I plug in headphones, but when I unplug them and switch to the speaker sometimes the output is so low you can barely hear it (even with volume turned WAY up and other times it puts out a LOT of distortion. DO NOT BUY. Contacting Customer Support is a PAIN. 1. The warranty process is VERY confusing on their website. You have to register your product (fine no problem but it takes a week to show up.) Then you can file a claim, and wait for a response. The response will most likely show up in your spam folder so it is easy to miss. 2. THEY CHARGE you for Shipping and Handling BOTH WAYS! You have to pay to return the faulty item AND for them to send you a replacement. 2. I missed the first email that they sent me because it went to SPAM like I mentioned, but when the customer service rep sent me another email she sent it with the original email as well. Originally they were charging me $3.99, but now in the current email they are asking for $7.99 with no explanation for the increased fee. PLEASE DO NOT BUY the cheap garbage product!!!

This my second Mini Soundbar I just purchased recently. I like the easy setup and no bulky power source like the other computer speaker requires. Sound quality is okay for normal task, but for watching DVD the frequency is limited.

I was looking for a nice, compact speaker with a headphone jack to use with my bedroom TV to replace a set of Logitech speakers that crapped-out on me. I wasn't originally looking for a soundbar, but this one ticked-off everything on my list so I decided to buy it. I'm really happy I did - it sounds better than the Logitech set did while fitting in with the decor with a much lower (smaller) profile. Sound is good, but not great, as the bass is lacking and the sound distorts some when you crank it up. But the mid-level sound where you'll be listening most of the time is really good. It's working great for TV sound; much better than the stock speakers in my cheapo TLC TV. Ask yourself - what do you expect from a speaker of this size and price? I promise you, the sound will not disappoint. I should mention it looks good too. Good feel with indents on the volume knob and the blue light is subdued and barely noticeable. Think midrange Harmon Kardon looks. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase and recommend these speakers.

La Soundbar mi è arrivata puntuale come sempre da Amazon che rispetta i tempi. Comunque il prodotto come dicevo è stupendo e si sente veramente molto bene. Io l'ho comperato perché le mie casse con il subvufer mi si sono rotte e volevo comperare delle altre ma anche avanzare spazio e dopo un'attenta ricerca ho deciso di comperare questa soundbar. Comunque qualità e prezzo molto buono anzi ottimo, arriva confezionato bene e il suono si sente molto molto bene visto anche che io lavoro nel video Editing l'ho trovata attimo come prodotto consigliatissimo👍. Nel video che ho postato il volume era a metà e non distorceva il suono anzi era stupendo ottimooo.

Justo lo que buscábamos. Un altavoz que sonara bien, se pudiera acceder a él fácilmente y sin cables a la vista por ahí sueltos. Además, prácticamente no ocupa espacio aún siendo tan grande porque queda perfectamente integrado con el monitor y estéticamente queda muy bonito. Suena bastante bien, quizá no suene de lujo si lo quieres utilizar para escuchar música a mucho volumen, pero si es para hacer un uso de volumen ordenador, vídeos, etc, es perfecto. Lo recomiendo!

So far works like a charm and looks good

このレビューを書く2か月前に購入しましたが、その時は2千円台だったので良かったのですが、、。 さておき、音質は結構いい感じ。PC向けのスピーカといった感じでキーボードの後ろに置いて使っています。 一つ残念なのはスピーカ側のヘッドフォン出力からはこの本体を経由した出力ではなく、入力をそのまま出力する、、つまり、ボリュームの調整が効きません。

Je suis content de mon choix et le tarif est correct, cette enceinte prendre pas trop de place sous mon écran et son design est joli avec son inclinaison sympa et à porter de main je l'allume facilement, concernant le son il est pas mal et quand même assez puissant avec ce bouton lumineux discret, bref je recommande ce produit !!
