For a single person, the same clock starts ticking when you first open that can. These can also be re-bagged in foil seal pouches, but that is every time you use some. The product can be snipped with scissors and added to oatmeal w/a little cinnamon. Layer unsalted crackers with these, add a little water and campfire bake for an Apple Pie, adding butter, cinnamon, sugar to personal taste. That works in a sandwich press for singles as well. I suggest trying out, using products for your family, that way they will be more accepting of the products if a need arises to rely on these for important nutrition. Try incorporating them in "All Hands On Deck" Camping Weekends. Everyone has chores, Cooking, a Fire Keeper, Supply Counter, Energy Zarr, Medic, USO Officer/entertainment. Next trip everyone gets a different job to do. If we know how to get through rough strange patches, we do not tend to stress, worry or fear. Make it fun.

You can't go wrong with this brand. I love that I know that no matter what I buy from them that it will be a quality product and packaged for longevity. Having a well prepared pantry is important to me and this is my go-to brand at a reasonable price.I love that I can buy this in bulk and leave it knowing that it is packaged to last.Open the can and snack away or add these to your favorite recipes. These are super yummy.You get a lot of product for the price. Don't let the weight of the can fool you.I like that this is not a chemical nightmare.I try to have item on hand for in the event of an emergency. I look for items that are packaged well, travel well, don't require a lot of additional ingredients, are flexible for how they are used, and will act as comfort food. This fits the bill.My rabbits LOVE that I buy these. They make an excellent treat for them (in moderation), too.

I have been purchasing this brand for a while now and their products never cease to amaze me. The long shelf life is ideal for anyone but especially to the family that likes to prep. My daughter loves the taste of the apple slices.

Contents sound somewhat broken inside. Can't open it until doomsday, so hoping the tastes makes up for any damage. Still loving Auguson Farms!

There are many uses for dehydrated fruits. Being dehydrated is great for longevity of the fruit.

The media could not be loaded. I think the quality control needs to be looked into because I’m finding a lot of seats a lot of inner cores outside skin, big chunks outside skin and even a stem. How can you not take a stem out of an apple before you slice it diced and freeze dry it we’re eating this raw. We’re just by the handfuls, dehydrating it and want to eat it. It’s like a steak you trim off the fat. OK if I wanted boneless chicken bones, I would say boneless chicken bones right well why do I need to say skinless apples?
