Practice Makes Perfect: Complete Italian All-in-One

This book is a nice blend of instruction, explanation, and exercises. All answers are given in the back of the book, although it is a little difficult to find/read the correct answers. I really love their method of teaching, and it goes in a very good pace.

I have used several of these types of study books before, but think this is one of the better ones. It is perfect for someone who is perhaps at the intermediate level of the study of Italian. It provides good review summaries of grammar, good learning exercises, and also has answers at the back of the book so that the user can check her/his progress.

Excellent practice, lots of opportunity to repeat a skill until you get it. I also use the app and it is great for pronunciation. Disclosure, I use this book in addition to using Babel. Not sure if I would understand it as well if it was the only thing I was doing. But...it fills in all of the gaps I had from Babbel

it's a good book with a lot of exercises. It has good section on basic Italian. Sections 2 and 3 allow to learn grammar in more depth. The only problem are sections 4 and 5 which seem to be an afterthought. The same grammar rules were often repeated. There was some extra info but not much. Exercises in those sections at times were good, at times were quite lacking. The author(s) also did not proof-check sufficiently for errors and typos. It was a bit frustrating. Thus taking one star off.

Hands down a great book for self study. The book is divided into 5 sections: conversation, grammar, verbs, sentences, and problem solving. I love the organization of the material in each section. My only critique is that I want to skip sections and learn grammar & verbs in conjunction with conversation. However, I think working in consecutive order still gives you a solid foundation to self teach. I don't mind the tissue thin pages because I prefer a lightweight book to carry around. Highly recommend!

aEsy to learn approach. Degree oof difficulty progresses at a comfortable pace. Never felt lost. App is great... coordinated with the book. I highly recommend this product.

The book is very good, a lot of practices that maintain you very interested in the topic. The quality is ok, it’s not a book to keep in your shelves forever but a book to write on it! Totally recommended for this price.

To learn Italian looks good.

Very comprehensive, using this book for grammar rules mainly, however, there are also exercises to do and there are keys to check answers, so is perfect for self education.The book is in English, so you don't have to try to understand explanations on a language you don't know, like in some other materials.However, if you're looking for a lesson-like structure, you might wanna get FACILE series books as well.
