Crafter's Companion - EZMount Static Cling Mounting Cushion Gray Foam (8.5 x 11 Inches) - 10 Pack

I bought these to put on some plain unmounted red rubber stamps, some red rubber stamps I removed from blocks, and for older Stamping Up stamps that didn't actually stick to blocks. It's very easy, and you CAN cut it with almost anything. I first used my non-stick craft scissors and did NOT have to clean them afterwards, next I took some with me to while visiting my parents for Thanksgiving and forgot those scissors and only had my GOOD fabric only pair, so I dug out a dollar store esque blunt beat up pair of my moms. It cut just fine, but yes, I did have to clean them afterwards with rubbing alcohol (fast process with a rag, slower with a paper towel).My future experiments will be1. with a hot knife2. if I just add this as a second layer onto the old worn explosed thin black backing some of the stamp still have on them3. Can I lightly stamp the image ON the top side of this so I can easily identify the stamp or will it a)not dry/smear/wear or b) decrease it's ability to stick to acrylic blocks

Hard to work with but worth the mess to have rubber stamps that will stick to an acrylic block.

So far so good. Does gum up scissors (even Tim Holtz non-stick scissors) so i switched to hot knive. Good adhesion. Tiny stamps tend to slip off easy. A little pricey but the space I'm saving is great and means I can use stamps on my stamp platform which I use all the time now.

OMG! This cling foam was a life saver! I've been working really hard to convert my wood mount stamps to cling mount stamps and have been using window cling material. While that has worked, it just hasn't been what I was looking for in a conversion. With this cling foam, the converted stamps feel just like a regular cling mounted stamp! The foam has a nice cushion to it and is about as thick as a standard cling mounted stamps foam is. The adhesive is decently strong. I've only just converted all my stamps, so I'm not sure how long it'll last, but it feels like it will last quite a long time on all the stamps I was able to completely clean before conversion...and it's holding decently enough on the stamps I was too impatient to clean fully. Speaking of how sticky the adhesive is, I ended up getting a hot knife as well, because the adhesive gunks up my scissors quite easily. (plus I was able to cut around the stamps more closely that way too). Finally, I was able to use a stays on ink to stamp the cling side of the foam, which puts the image of my stamp on the side of the foam that I put on my clear block mount so I can see it while stamping. I would not use any other ink, as they do not dry properly. The stays on ink works beautifully! And speaking of the cling side, it's clinging capabilities is by far superior to the window cling material I was using for this conversion project. Overall, I'm VERY pleased with the quality of this cling foam and the final results of my wood mount stamp conversion project!

When I was new to stamps, I aquired a small collection of unmounted rubber stamps. I recommend a stamp platform with a grid for easy alignment of opaque stamps. Happy Crafting!

I bought the 10 pack because it worked out to less than buying individual sheets and I knew I'd need a couple. It's still really expensive but worth the money because it's such a reliable and easy to use product. I haven't tried any of the alternate products on the market-just this one, so I can't speak to whether or not other products are comparable/better, but this one is great.

I'm currently in the process of unmounting my ridiculous collection of wood-mounted stamps that I've been collecting since the 1990s. This is the best system for doing that. I also mounted a few of my unmounted sets. I don't have too much trouble with the "sticky scissors" issue because here's what I do: I use a pair of scissors I got for $1 from Office Depot. I keep them sharp, using a $6 kitchen knife sharpener I bought here on Amazon. Every 2nd or 3rd stamp I cut out, I spray the sticky blades with 91% isopropyl alcohol, which I keep in a spray bottle on my craft table for all sorts of uses. Let it sit for a few seconds, then wipe with a baby wipe. Repeat if necessary although if you don't let the gunk build up too much, you don't normally need to. You do need to use a little bit of pressure but they clean easily. Hope that helps if the hot knife solution doesn't work for you.

This product is exactly what I wanted! It arrived on time and well contained in the cardboard packaging. I removed 40 sets of Stamping' Up stamps and a shoe box of miscellaneous stamps from their wood blocks and mounted them to the 10 sheets this package provides. I have a half sheet left over. Needless to say, this is just to give you an idea of how far it will go.I had stamped each set onto a sheet of 4x6 paper and laminated them. The (now cling) stamps stick well on the 4x6 laminated sheets and I am able to store them ALL in the one shoe box.Its a messy project and nothing fast or pretty about it. I don't need them to look great as they are not on display, but they work great. I used odorless mineral spirits to FREQUENTLY clean the glue off heavy duty scissors; however, the space I have saved was well worth the trouble.

Utilizo esta espuma pegajosa para convertir mis sellos de scrapbooking sobre soporte de madera en sellos cling, mas faciles de usar y que ademas ahorran espacio para almacenarlos. Va de maravilla

Amazing product if you think to unmount your wood block stamps. It is very sticky and the cling behind works well with stamping tools.

This is a difficult product to get hold of, even direct from Crafter's Companion, so great to be able to get this mega bundle. Now I can finish neatly foam mounting all my stamps!
