I was torn between this size or a smaller one that was a couple dollars less. I’m so glad I went with this. The extra inch makes a difference and I didn’t expect that. Allowed me to wrap it and pull it down rather than sticking up in weird ways at the end.It’s flexible even when right out of the freezer. It is COLD! I mean painfully cold even through a sweat shirt, so be sure to wrap it in a towel. I use a light weight gauze throw blanket. Long enough to use it to wrap around me and thick enough to regulate just how cold this gets.It gets warm in about 35mins if laid on, but works like a charm and freezes back surprisingly fast.Since it’s clay and gel I can move it around and spread it out inside itself. Much easier than the gel one I have. I plan to buy another. Just so I can rotate them.Great value, sturdy material and seams. Well made and flexible. Highly recommend and actually plan to use this summer to keep my bed cooler.

It stays cold for a long time. Big size is great for sciatica and hip pain that need a lot of coverage. I put it in a pillowcase based on another review I read. It works great! The long lasting coldness—over an hour—is worth the extra $5!!!! Would highly recommend!

These work well. Just note they are not a flexible gel. They seem to be orbee like beads and freeze solid. Not an issue for us, but not what I was expecting so I wanted to let folks know. The cloth side is very soft and does help kids not get cold hands.

Works as described as far as getting cold and being convenient due to size. Only thing, the description states that it can be used hot and cold, but on the back side of the magic gel pack states not to use it as hot, not to put it in hot water nor the microwave. Might have to return it and get one that can be used as hot as well. Other than that, it works great.

I am very excited about this purchase and I may order another of these extra large ice packs. It appears good quality. I have laid on it, wrapped it around my legs, and placed it over me and it's SO RELAXING! The cooling power is fast and strong. I put it between two towels on my bed. On these hot summer days it helps so much, and could help me reduce my AC cost potentially if I use it regularly at home.I distribute the gel evenly before putting it away, keeping it in the freezer folded in three, then once again in the middle. The best cooling power is the first time you use it in the day. It probably would take 2-3 hours to cool again if you let it get warm, but the freezer runs all the time anyhow so it's not that big of a deal.

The size of this mat makes it great for hip/leg/large area icing. Easy to use. Recommend putting in a pillow case instead of directly on skin as the exterior is a lil rough. Can be frozen while folded, making it easy for even smaller freezers. About a 1/4 inch thick unfolded when frozen, so very mailable for use. Did not use Velcro straps.

This is absolutely fantastic! First of all it is HUGE!! I was worried about the size because I wanted something for my entire back-lower, upper, and middle back all at once. It’s super long and expands both vertically and horizontally around my whole back. I’m petite but as you can see, regardless of that fact, it’s very large. Also it lasted so long! I probably had it out for 3 hours before bed and it was freezing the whole time. When I put it away when I was going to bed it was still cold, after all that time. In fact, for a while it was almost too cold, I had to put a shirt between me and it because the temperature was very intense, but that’s a good thing. It retains the cold phenomenally, better than any ice pack I’ve ever used. I highly highly recommend!

I purchased the biggest one they had from this company been pretty happy with how long it last you definitely want to use a towel A thick one with it because it is very very cold and you would not want to touch your skin for at least 45 minutes how to use it for lower back pain and it works wonders for what for a reusable ice pack compared to the others out there
