Soffe Girls' Authentic Cheer Short

Wow so I must be an idiot because I bought these shorts for myself (a “thick” 30 year old woman). Saw the 3 pack of green soffee shorts and was like yesss! Jackpot! Well lo and behold, they are for little girls. I got the size 16 and can’t even fit them over my thighs. So I’m writing this review in hopes that no one else makes this mistake like I did and I’m trying to save someone the trouble. I will definitely be returning and then HOPEFULLY buy the correct size. What a shame. I guess it’s my fault... but I didn’t see a complete size chart and I guess I always thought they were for girls aka females? It is what it is.

I've always been pleased with Soffe. The cotton shorts always fit my girls. Some of the women's products are made small but I haven't had that problem with youth sizes. Would love to have a pair in each color for her. We have used them for cheer and now we use them for acrobatics.My daughter has just started wearing a size 12. She has an athletic build. Size large is just right for her. If she was more of a slim build, I would have ordered a medium. These particular cotton Soffe brands can tend to look baggy on slim-built kids (my older daughter is built this way) but they still hold up for the longest amount of time as far as sports are concerned. The waist (pictured) has a little more of a slim fit whereas the leg area has more room. I believe they are made this way so they can be more versatile with leg movements (cheer, dance, etc). For sports , I highly recommend the cotton shorts over the others like mesh, etc. Way more comfort and movement.

I read far too many reviews when looking for white shorts that my girls could tie dye. I hesitantly bought these knowing I could return easily with amazon but hoped I wouldn't have too. I have one girl in a girls sz 8 and the other is a girls 10 so I bought both a M and it worked well for each. The band is stretchy enough for both sizes and the leg openings are a little wide/loose but it hasn't brought about any problems. They also took the tie dye color well so everyone was happy.

Product is just as I had expected. I ordered these because the soccer shorts my daughter was issued through the Rec Dept were way too huge. I ordered these in hopes they would be the same color. The picture shows the shorts a big more purple than they really are. They are a true maroon color thank goodness, and match her team colors perfectly! We bought a big girls size XS, my daughter is 3.5yrs old and wears a 4/5

Size XS is a 4/5. When I ordered I couldn’t find the number sizing anywhere. I just guessed the XS was a 4/5 and I was right, thankfully. The XS fits my 3 year old who is very tall for her age. She normally wears a 4/5 in shorts, so these are true to size. She is around 42” tall and about 36lbs. In the picture she tried them on over leggings. They look cutest folded over with the white band showing. If your kid normally wears a 4/5 in shorts I would recommend the size XS. They wash and wear great. They are great play shorts to throw on for summer. They work especially good over swimsuits as a cover up. The color I got was heather purple but I’ve ordered more colors now.

Mesh shorts, great price fits a 12 year old who weighs 86 pounds and is growing fast. She's wearing them for volleyball. Machine wash, lined dried them (we live in Hawaii) and I think I'll try a couple more pairs due to the great price.

We bought these shorts as a second set of PE clothes for middle school. My daughter is petite, so they fit her a little loose but that is typical for her. They are a little on the short side in length, which she was fine with but I could they were shorter than I would have preferred. They are soft, it will be easy for her to move, and the color we chose was accurate to the real product. I would buy these again.

sizing completely off. I ordered a large girls. Description stated normal size,, with no measurements. Again I ordered a large in girls not toddlers. I contacted seller, they wanted me to pay $4 for shipping. They were not helpful, or kind. The places the vague description of size and are offer nothing for the size issue. I gave them to my friends daughter, rather then pay $4 to return $9 shorts.
