Johnstone'sOne Coat Matt Emulsion Paint - Antique White 2.5L

Great color, easy to use.. it doesn't smell. love it

I bought this in antique white. I found that it went on smoothly (using a roller) and covered really well in one coat - I had put a base coat on prior to painting. The antique shade of white was a great option and looks really good. I ordered two tins but needed only one to cover an entire room. I’m holding on to the second tin as I’m sure I will use it again.

Good quality paint, easy to apply and dries comparatively quickly. In my case one coat was not enough, due to painting over a darker colour a second coat was needed, but worth it as the finished job looks great.

As you can see I only had to use one coat on a creamy magnolia covered wall as it is top quality, thick paint. However, I did have to use 2 tubs even though it was for the smallest bedroom. It dried super fast too, which I was very happy about. It was also very easy to clean off the carpet with a bit of white spirit.

I've been looking for an alternative to my usual paint since our local hardware shop closed and I'm very pleased. I didnt notice a smell, it dried quickly and had good coverage though on very dark colours two coats are needed.Not quite so pleased that the paint had been placed upside down in the box, luckily there were no leakes.This is the second time of ordering and I would again if it was the same price (£16).

This is just one coat of the paint over dark paint, absolutely amazing. Needs just one more coat and will look perfect!!

Bought the Manhattan Grey in Matt finish, to paint one bedroom feature wall.Specifically wanted one-coat paint but I'm beginning to think this does not actually exist.I was painting over a mid blue colour.The first coat might as well have been milk, it barely covered the blue at all.I have now actually done 3 complete coats and it could actually do with a FOURTH as there are still tiny specks of blue showing through, but I refuse to use two 2.5 LTR tins of paint to cover ONE feature wall.The colour itself is very nice but believe me, you will need several coats of this paint, and if you are going over a very dark colour, forget it.
