They are more rugged than I expected and that is very welcome since I have 3 kids and they can be rough on the equipment. The are well made and the finish cleans easily. I don't know if they are tempered but I cook/bake macaroni and cheese in them and they take the oven heat just fine even with a fully browned cheesy butter and bread crumb crust on top. I really love the size and its versatility. These look and are great but if I were to do it again, I would order them without the little arms on them because even thought these are well made and sturdy, I know eventually I will snap one and have to throw it away because I don't do chipped ceramics. Price is right on these.

Cutest little ramekin perfect large individual side dish. I bought them originally to cook a specific recipie. Mushroom, spinach 2 eggs. So far I used it for many dishes. Loaded mash potatoes, mac and cheese, squash casserole, fish etc. perfect size for newly empty nesters.

This set of 10oz ramekin/au gratin/casserole dishes are exceptionally well designed and provide perfect portion control when making a number of culinary dishes.I am a very advanced Home and Personal Chef, and these dishes are great for baking, serving, warming, and other uses for a lot of creations where I want to provide equal portions for multiple guests.A couple of examples that I make regularly include Lobster Newburg in lobster stock and thickened cream sauce. Perfect size for 4-6oz lobster tails chopped. Another is seafood or Prawn Doria (A Japanese creation) with a seasoned cream sauce and proteins over rice...topped with grated parmesan cheese and then baked in these dishes.Yummy!Dishwasher-safe and built to withstand high baking or broiling heat. Doesn't get much better than this! Sides have small handles that make handling them very easy, either hot or cold.This set easily rates FIVE STARS with me, along with my honest and VERY hearty recommendation! Even baking and good presentation!

Covered my seating area of my den sectional where my beloved black lab lounges to keep from her wear and hair!

We were looking for an au gratin dish that would fit on our plates without wobbling and still leave room for sides. These fit perfectly. Our plates are 11", with the flat part being 7" in diameter. Because of the oval shape, the au gratin dish fits into the curve of the plate just right. The 10 oz. portion size is plenty adequate too. Very cute little dishes, we would definitely buy again!

Perfect for shirred eggs. Each ramekin fits 2 eggs on top of bacon, mushrooms, and spinach with plenty of room to spare. 6 ramekins will fit on one cookie sheet just fine. They were packed securely and none of them broke in transport. They made for an impressive Christmas morning breakfast.

Love the shape of these dishes, can be used for creme brulee as well as other side dishes. Very well made.

These small oven dishes are perfect for an individual pot pie or side dish. They are very handy to have on hand. They are neat and straight forward, with no clutter to detract from the sight of the delicious baking.
