Good introduction to the spiritually blessed St. Catherine of Siena
For an introduction to faith and understanding of the basic premise that We are Gods creation infused with a pure soul which we lose sight of in dealing with the world and our own self will, then relearning and rediscovering the goodness with which we created. Lots of lines worthy of analyzing and savoring

Good though too abstract.
I found this book good though a little bit too foggy sometimes. It helps you to meditate on the goodness of God and the divine sonship. A bit more of a practical bunch of suggestions for our everyday messy life would be invaluable. The whole series is fantastic overall.

Catherine of Siena is one of the "Greats" of all time Saints.
When John Kirvan renders Catherine's The Dialogue into 30 days, each beginning with the Lord's Wisdom, a "heart's refrain" for the day, and such a tender closing prayer come bed time, he does one step "better" than He And i, which too is an intimate conversation "with Him whom we KNOW Loves us".While we tend to live in the prison of our own misconceptions, the Lord thirsts for these prisons to be burst, so thatwe can begin here and now that Conversation with Him which HE so longs for! . . the path into Eternity, the key to unlocking the door which is our own hour of dying.Am very thankful to my big friend Tom, who's copy - half the pages missing! - got me determined to get my own. Little did I know there seems to be so few available. Tom found it almost too deep. For me it was familiar ground, even after reading the first two sentences.

A beautiful daily journey into the depth of the love and relationship of such a great saint. Highly recommend for Lenten reading.

Profound, yet short and to the point
I love this devotional. I am excited to have discovered Catherine of Sienna, whom I had never heard of before reading this book. The book is a 30 day devotional that includes a morning reading, a thought for reflection through out the day and an evening prayer. I very much like this structure, but the content is what made this such a wonderful read. Using brief passages, this book contains biblical truths that are profound, inspirational and challenging. God's love for me was reinforced every day in each passage. Familiar passages of Scripture came alive to me. I would recommend this book for anyone who is looking for a devotional which goes far deeper than cute stories loosely tied to the Scripture.

SET ASIDE - WIPE A TEAR - EVERY FEAR!
For my side, this is the best quote there: “Saint Catherine’s great insight is that God does indeed speak to us, and that the spiritual life, in the end, is a dialogue of love between the God-who-is and we-who-are-not.All ways and always: SET ASIDE EVERY FEAR.
