Great Prop!!!
I highly recommend this product!!!!Pros: Great build, sturdy, holds weight like cane (not full body weight), easy to use, nice designCons: The bird blade is kinda wobbly (add some glue to the open side of blade to decrease wobble), when it arrived the cane had a hard time assembling, the cane wouldn't attach fully until I accidentally dropped it hard on the bottom part allowing me properly lock it in place, the cane it self seemed like it was in storage for a while it had this white dust on it (I wiped it and good as new) , the paint on the bird head seemed alittle darker than the box looking like a goldish bronze but I like worn look and it kinda looks better in my opinion...So if your interested in the product I recommend buying it as a prop and not as a "Play" toy due to it being kinda fragile in some areas like the plastic bird and cane blade,

Doesn't quite match the level of detail shown in the product photos: Flat paint work missing those final touches.
The other reviews are correct with their claims regarding paint details not matching the photos in the product description. The product photos shown here display a sword blade with beautiful paint details. Instead you get a piece that's pretty flat and poorly executed. It's not TERRIBLE and it can be fixed if you know what you're doing. That being said, if you paid $60 to $70 you shouldn't need to add paint details to get the product to match or even be remotely close to what you see in the product description. This was a gift for my son and one of the first things he mentioned was how odd the paint work looks on the sword blade itself. It's flat and dull with no real detailed paint work. It looks like a cheap plastic toy sword you'd buy at a dollar store. Definitely NOT something that you'd expect to see on something that's supposed to be a detailed weapon replica. The detail work on the sword handle is a bit better, but still doesn't look as good as the photos on the box or in the product listing. It looks like gold spray paint with a haphazard attempt at some detail work. The woodgrain on the cane body itself is flat and plastic like. The entire cane body is hollow plastic with a noticeable seam and the whole thing feels like it could be brittle and break easily if handled roughly or dropped.I managed to snag this at the reduced price of $29.99 with free Prime shipping. That was too good of a deal to pass up and I'm glad that's all I paid. To me that's about all it is worth. I don't like to make price a big factor in my reviews but I feel it's necessary in this case. If I paid the normal price tag of $60 or more I'd be a bit upset. Based on the price I paid this is a 3.5 to 4 star out of 5 star product. If I paid the normal retail price and received this piece I would probably rate this a 2 to 3 star product at most.Overall my son likes it and that's all I care. We can definitely improve the paint details on our own without too much trouble. If you're buying this for cosplay or for a highly detailed prop replica I'd be prepared to do a little work to get it to the level shown on the box or in any stock manufacturer's product photos shown here.

Great prop!
After reading other reviews I was convinced I was going to get a cheap piece of plastic. Maybe I am just lucky but this is actually pretty nice. It feels somewhat heavy though not enough to actually lean on like a real cane. Yes it feels like a prop, which is what it is, but it's not as bad as I expected. The paint doesn't look as cheap as I thought it would either. I haven't taken it out for a spin yet, but it doesn't seem like the bottom blade will just pop out unexpectedly, as I had to tap it pretty hard to get it to work. Yes, the other items in the line of Assassin's Creed weapons are better (the gauntlet blade and crossbow) but this is not as terrible as I thought. Glad I took the chance and ordered it. Can't wait for Halloween!

Perfect for the Price
It's obviously made out of cheap plastic, but for the price (on Amazon, at least) it does it's job. It is sturdy enough to withstand some pressure, and looks authentic unless thoroughly inspected.Wonderful cosplay addition.

EXTREMELY Underwhelming, Overpriced, and Dissapointing
The details are sketchy at best, pictures show it looking metallic and intricate but you get a cane of mustard and grey, not gold and silver. The scythe is really sensitive and will randomly unlatch and fling out. It says that the sword pops out with the press of a button but the button is sunken too far in that you can't press it. The plastic of the sword/handle is slightly turned so it doesn't click in so the sword slides up and down in the can if you grab it just by the crow, not pressing anything, the cane falls off and the sword pulls out, so it's like they're not connected at all. the rating is 17+ but what was delivered looks like a kids toy that you'd buy for a 7 or 8 year old for a cheap Halloween costume that costs at most $30 (INCLUDING outfit, so cane should be priced at like $10-14 including taxes, maybe $3 shipping) Made of extremely cheap plastic, won't be surprised if it breaks soon. I definitely would NOT pay $30+ for this. Sword requires extreme force to fit into the cane, to the point where it feels like you'll break the plastic, sword overall doesn't fit in the cane and the blade on the sword isn't secured so while it's cheap, hard plastic, not flimsy rubber, it wiggles side to side and forward and backward in it's "slot". Extremely poorly made and made me really disappointed.

Broke within a day...
Our son had this one day and it broke in two spots. It arrived on Saturday, broke on Sunday, so on Monday (Halloween), he had no weapon. It broke on both ends.... one was the knife part, it became loose, but not totally broken off. Then, on the opposite end, the hook part broke off. Granted, he is a boy and they can be hard on toys, but it was never taken outside, just played with inside. No matter the name, it is still just cheap plastic. Before it broke, he had fun with it.

Awesome plastic piece
Great toy for kids. My little brother loves it even though he broke it already. This toy is great for something made of only plastic. This toy can survive hours of play. Just don't hit things too hard with it!sidenote:The cane broke the bottom blade while kicking it open.
