With One Voice: A Lutheran Resource for Worship

Not a new publication but has many good music choices for worship or amateur choirs. The songs and hymns are possibly more contemporary than those included when the Lutheran Book or Worship went to press. Nevertheless, all are of high quality and musically and textually sound. Leading a small Episcopal choir, I have found this an excellent resource for adding simple but beautiful pieces to our line-up. It should be purchased along with the spiral accompaniment book which has complete musical settings.

I always liked this supplement better than the old green Lutheran Hymnal -- and especially the fact that the supplement utilizes more contemporary hymns from more diverse backgrounds.We've transitioned to the red "Evangelical Lutheran Worship" -- but still use this supplement. This supplement will stand the test of time.

My expectations were met

This book contains some favorite praise songs that my congregation uses.

I love the songs in this book. It's in regular usage at our Lutheran Church. For accompaniment, it's best to buy that edition of the book.

I ordered this book for my church since we have been using this alot more! It came alot sooner than I expected!! I am very happy with this purchase!! I am going to continue to order more in the future as long as we need more copies at my church.

I was trying to match the edition my church uses and I accomplished my goal perfectly. Many times there aren't enough copies to go around on Sunday so it's nice to have my own copy.

I bought a copy of this book for sentimental reasons, having at one time been a Lutheran, with encouragement to attend seminary, but I've moved-on, since.
