Star Wars Science Force Trainer II Brain-Sensing Hologram Electronic Game (works with select iPad and Android Tablets)

This is junk the app no longer exists so its just plastic waste. Cant believe amazon still sells this. Plus i did not get a refund unless i sent it back and pay int shipping for it , which of course i did not want to pay one more cent. This should not be on amazon.

As for which tablet works with this device the manufacturer does themselves a disservice by not specifying the qualifying aspects of the required tablet device. The primary specs required are screen size, memory and CPU cores and speed. I purchased a YellYouth 10.1" IPS Screen Octa Core 4GB RAM 64GB ROM 3G Phablet with WiFi GPS Bluetooth Tablets - White. It was more the proper screen size, more than enough RAM and plenty of processing power. I don't care about cell phone carrier connectivity so the fact that it can't accommodate Tmobile sims doesn't matter to me.I purchased this for my 7 year old grandson in an effort to help his diagnosed ADHD which waxes and wanes. He LOVES this "game" and yet it quickly trained him to focus and demonstrated to him the meaning of "focus". The games teach how to achieve a Theta brainwave state of relaxed, intense concentration. My problem in demonstrating the device to my grandson was that I could easily reach the required state but had to train to quickly leave it. For my grandson the hard part was achieving the state of concentration. This device offers the feedback necessary to learn deep concentration. It's not an everyday sensation or feeling so it requires training.We had the advantage of having electro-conductive spray made for TENS units though this is not necessary. Be sure to place the two rear electro-conductive sensor pads behind the ears and the third pad on the forehead. The power bars on the display provide immediate connectivity and EEG feedback.This is an amazing toy and I can't believe the price or that more people facing the challenges of a child with ADHD haven't discovered it. Of course there are no professional or medical endorsements of this product and your mileage may vary. However, this changed my child's understanding of and ability to focus mentally. It doesn't cure ADHD and I had to ask my child to stop moving and making distracting sounds while I used it but it is an amazing product and it has helped.

The app is not available any more for this item, purchased two tablets before I realized because I thought the one I got was too new... very disappointing, past the point of being able to return I believe. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM!!

Saw this at Star Wars Celebration and was awesomely fun. Bought it but was concerned cause only electronics in it were the headset. Turns out not only does it require 100% assembly of the base, but it also REQUIRES a tablet... but not just any tablet, it needs to be an iPad (running iOS 6.0 or higher) or a Samsung (running Jellybean or higher). I have neither so this $100 "kit" is worthless and is ONLY FOR PLASTIC STAND and 1 headset. Really disappointed at the sales department on this one. No where on Amazon does it clearly say "REQUIRES NEW TABLET TO WORK" or "ASSEMBLY REQUIRED". The box does have it as a 2 cm x 1 cm comment on the bottom right corner next to the Company logos that a tablet is required but no pics on Amazon show this... so Be AWARE before purchasing...Other than that, the actual application works well and "hologram" effect is sweet when looking at it from all sides. Would give it 5 stars if not for the previous paragraph.Update: The iPad and Samsung models listed in instructions (iPad 3rd Generation and after, including Air and iPad2.... and Samsung Galaxy's) are only for fitted screen size.... you can get any tablet with newer Android or iOS loaded to work, just have to deal with the "hologram"/reflection not lining up 100%. My buddy's Samsung Galaxy Note Pro works with it's 12.2" screen and Nexus 8.9".

I always wanted a BCI kit to play with and for what I paid (on sale) this product was everything I hoped for and more. After assembling the hologram set I just put that as a decoration on my sidetable and started tinkering with the headset on my PC instead. I explored all the free apps available for it on the neurosky website which are really worth it on their own. Then I downloaded the SDK and wrote a code for it to capture raw, alpha, beta, etc. data on C#. Now I'm going to stream that on MATLAB and try to see how much I can extract from it. It's all in a days work!(I'll make it available on Github soon).Best part: It's Star Wars themed!!!Cons:- The hologram is only for particularly sized samsung and android devices. (I think that's why it's on sale though)- Sampling rate of alpha beta gamma isn't that high though I'm not sure what's a good rate since I haven't done enough research yet on the topic.As a toy:As for a kids toy it's a pretty neat gadget to pique a child's interest in how the brain functions. Even if you can't get it to function with a smart device you can use it with a PC (though a bit tricky to set up at first but figuring it out can be a fun challenge as well).Let me know if anyone needs help. Obwohl mein Tablet den Spezifikationen entspricht, hat die App nicht funktioniert. Hersteller antwortet auch nicht. Trotz intensiver Recherche konnte ich weder eine alternative App finden noch war es möglich das Headset mit einem PC zu verbinden oder auch nur irgendwas damit anzufangen. Musste das Gerät zurückschicken. Den zweiten Stern gibt es, weil der Verkäufer anstandslos das Teil zurück genommen hat.Wenn es funktioniert hätte, wäre es für den Preis sicherlich cool, also falls man überlegt, sich das zuzulegen, sollte man am besten vorab testen, ob die App auf seinem Gerät läuft.

It did not work! Tried it on several tablets with 10" screens. It would glitch and get stuck. Not worth a cent. It's the app that is the issue I think
