They are hard wheels
I love these wheels, they roll so effortlessly and they look fantastic on my skates. They make going backwards so much easier. Yeahhhhh

Nice wheels
I have seen a few reviews indicating that it is difficult to get bearings into these wheels. I concur, but I have a suggestion which helped me. I used a bearing tool which is normally used to extract a bearing. Mine has a rounded handle, so I was able to use it to comfortably apply pressure to the bearing. The best method for me was to place the wheel on a padded surface on the ground, insert the bearing onto the bearing tool, align the bearing with the wheel hole, and apply downward pressure to the bearing tool. A few times, I had to adjust my angle to seat the bearing correctly. This helped me to seat all bearing correctly.

Finally found the perfect wheel for indoor rink skating
I started rink skating on Rollerbones Team 98A. There were great to start with, but I needed a little more slip. These 101A wheels have a nice amount of slide - any more and I would start to lose control. I skate on coated concrete and I weigh 190 lbs. The wheels look great on my skate setup!Once star deduction because the surface of all 8 wheels is not consistent. Some are super smooth and shiny, others have more of a matte finish. I don't know how this actually affects my skating, but all 8 wheels are not exactly identical.

Amazing - hard and grippy!
These are now my go-to wheel when we go to the local rink - it's hardwood. I can hit turns fast and not slip much. I tried them on smooth concrete outdoors - they felt good to me but are very loud and frightened pedestrians - I think they thought a skateboarder was approaching them. Of course, they are not good for any surfaces that would have cracks or pebbles.

Zoom!
Really big difference between these and my 96A wheels. I enjoy recreational skating on a nice wood rink. These give me a lot more glide, maneuverability, and speed, and don't make my shin splints hurt as much. They took some getting used to because they are so much slicker. My 96As had grooves, these are smooth and have very little grip. I literally fell down while standing still, lol! But that's on me and not the wheels. I really love them, just need to get a little more confident in my skates!
