7.4V,21.46Wh Battery for Bose Soundlink Mini Speaker US Version

I have had my Bose SoundLinkMini for over 10 years. The sound is outstanding. It started not holding power, unexpectedly turned off when it was charged &/or was on the charger, intermittently would not charge when on the charger, etc. Researching it could be the base charger or the battery. I thought of replacing the whole unit but comments stated the newer models did not have the same great sound.I am so happy I got this battery. It is easy to install. I charged it for a day before using it and all the problems I was having with the unit are gone. I have the great sound back. I have had it off the charger for over a week and it is still playing. I highly recommend this particular battery.

Leaving this review for others who have the Bose Mini SoudLink Series 1 who are trying to decide if they want to replace the battery or the unit. Looking at the reviews this was a tough call. Almost didn't purchase this battery, but am glad I did. Arrived in 2 days and had my Bose running tip top again in just a few minutes. For those asking themselves whether they should purchase a new battery, make sure that your issue is indeed a battery issue (i.e. your old battery still works but its run time has gone from 8 hours to something much less), but otherwise your Bose is still working fine. If this is the case, then this battery is probably for you. If your unit fails to turn on or blinks red without reason, then you may look into purchasing a new unit. You may have another issue such as a controller, etc.

this battery was easy to install and worked fine originally. but then charge would only last a short time. so i kept the mini on the charging cord. now the mini won't work at all.does anyone know how to contact the supplier of the this battery? they seem to indicate a 'lifetime warranty' to help you repair a problem.

So yes replacing the battery is needed for the soundlink mini 1 but...This will not hold charge on the shelf.Yes it lasts longer than the original one but leave it in your bag for a few weeks and you come back to a dead battery. Great replacement to save you a few bucks and works great under initial charge, but you have to keep up with it. So you have a trade off.

I can start with 5 stars.It fit correctly and was easy to change.Took the charge.It seems to charge better than the old one it is replacing.(Now we need to see if it lasts.)To be able to continue to use this great sounding speaker I've had for years is exciting.Even if it only lasts half as long as the last one it would be worth it.Quick update: appears to hold charge. Still happy.

Bose no longer sells the battery for the original mini. We should get 10 more years with this new battery. $25 fix vs a new mini at $179.

The battery on my Bose Soundlink Mini died recently and unfortunately since the speaker is so old, they are no longer covered by any warranty by Bose. I was happy to find this listing on amazon for a replacement battery for a good price as I don't plan on upgrading the speaker anytime soon.Installation was overall really easy, took a few minutes to do and was a very basic replacement. The kit also came with a screwdriver which made it really convenient since the screws are very small on the battery. The battery life lasts so much longer than it did before and i'm very happy with the battery life! The only issue was that the rubber cover for the battery doesn't match the same mould, you can stretch it out to fit but it does look kinda warped. Doesn't really matter that much though, at least I got a working speaker for my setup now :)

I purchased this battery last October but now it is only holding a charge for about 20 minutes and is totally unacceptable. It says on the description info that the company offers an 18 month exchange but I can't find a way to contact the company. I hope they read this review and contact me with replacement or refund details.
