Top tier product
I’ve used this brand on several projects after watching YouTube videos and honestly it’s the best product in the market in my opinion, as I do quite a bit of woodworking, and this provides an incredible richness of color, a an outstanding seal on the wood and in my opinion again it’s just an outstanding product and the cleanup is terrific and there is zero harsh chemical smell

Buy more than you think you’ll need.
I bought the 100ml bottle and I struggled to cover a 55” x 24” x .75” desktop. Make sure you get enough to really flood it on there. If I had to do it again I’d buy the larger can. Looks great though. Following this up with charcoal 2c oil.

Expensive, but worth it
Give a jet black base to oak or ash. Finish with monocoat white (or gold - ooh, gold!) for a perfect, easy, cerused finish. I put a final coat of universal maintenance oil, Pure, on top, and did not see much color change, only added a little sheen and protection.

Whoa! Intense, man.
When you wipe this stuff on, intense is the right word to use. I’ve said for a long time black is my favorite color until they come out with something darker. Rubio did just that!I was quite surprised how much of the color rubs out while applying the 2C top coat with applicator. I would suggest doing samples to dial in your final process. I didn’t use the applicator on my samples, just a finishing rag, and it came out how I wanted with the 2C. I used the applicator on the final project and it took most of the black away and I lost the contrast I was going for …. but still rocked it with the Midnight Indigo 2C.

Great Product
Like anyone will tell you, the product is great, the price is high. As an amateur hobbyist, this was my first time working with Rubio Monocoat products. After seeing some youtube videos and the effects that could be created, I decided to try it out. The end result is great, but it is hard to justify the high price for future projects. You can do a traditional stain and poly coat on a small project for $10-15, while using Rubio Monocoat would cost $50-75. On this red oak shelf I did intense black precolor, and super white oil plus part A, along with the accelerant.

Extremely dark
It did not appear to be brown once applied. I used it on white oak and looked more like a black color to me. I applied a coat of white oil plus 2c on top and it helped lighten it some.
