The only thing i would suggest is try putting the square bracket on the legs first then put the base on that the legs screw into ...... this way you are guaranteed all the holes will fit, this is what I did and it worked fine (it might be a little harder to fit together but it works). They are high but to me, kitchen island bar stools are not supposed to fit so that you can sit under the island like a chair does to a dining table. Would recommend these.
