These are solid aluminum, not hollow. But a few issues. First, they are NOT 1/2-13 threaded. My shifter levers had existing 1/2-13 knobs on them, just no lettering. Hence the reason to buy these. These would not screw on at all. Had to re-tap them to 1/2-13 to make them go on. Another issue is that they do not have any way to hold them with a wrench to tighten them down. They are smooth round on the outside. Should have had two "flats" at the base that a wrench could go on. No way other than hand tighten with a rag or something to try and grip with. Also, the black paint is weak and easily flakes off with a rub of your fingernail or any other inadvertent contact. Not sure how well the white lettering will hold up given how easily the black paint flakes off. For this price, better quality and true to size was certainly expected.

Well crafted and worth the money
They are very nice and solid. The extra hex nut works perfect to ensure proper orientation. They are a little smaller than i expected but work and look fantastic. Dont regret the purchase at all

Great quality. Make sure you check your thread pattern first. There are 2 sizes, 1/2" and 7/16".
