Plantronics W745-M SAVI 3 in 1 with Battery Charger

the headset is good, does everything I need it too and works as advertised with my cell, desk, and softphone.I'm a bit disappointed in the battery life, platronics advertises this to have a 6-9 hour talk time battery life, but I have never had it last more than 4.5 hours, it's great that it has 2 batteries and they charge within that 4.5 hours and are hot swappable, but it would be nice if the battery lasted at least as long as the minimum advertised.UPDATE: 8 months into ownership and the batteries are barely lasting an hour each now, and the second battery doesn't charge within the time frame of the first battery dying, it takes 2-3 hours to charge to get 1 - 1.5 hours of life out of the batteries.. I ended up spending $60 for two replacement batteries just now hoping I can jungle 4 batteries to get through a 10 hour work day.

Quite happy with this. I'm a techie and constantly on the phone with my job. With this I can have my cell phone, desk phone, and Skype all connected to it and I can answer all of them with this single headset. Since it's the DECT technology it has a much greater range than that of Bluetooth. The headset is very comfortable. It comes with a backup battery that's always cooking so it's ready to be used when needed.The device connects to the cell phone through Bluetooth. It can connect to a business phone in a number of ways but if you have a something like an older panasonic cordless phone things can get trickier. I had to split my line with one going to my cordless phone system and one going to an old desk phone. With the desk phone I attached a lifter (sold separately) so I can answer the call through the headset. Once set up this works very well.

This headset has exceptional voice quality and range. I can walk 2 floors away from the base and still carry on a call. It makes it nice when working from home and I need to walk to my main floor to grab something. The battery life is very good and having the second battery on standby is really nice. Very happy with my purchase

What I don’t like is that the ear pieces are kind of big for my ears so it is uncomfortable and doesn’t fit properly. As a result the microphone is sits away from my mouth and often times people say that they can’t hear me. So I have to hold the microphone close to my mouth. Terrible

I think I had my previous one of these for something like 15 years (or something ridiculous like that) without any issues. Amazed at the quality of sound, and the distance as well. Really love that I can easily go back and for between Skype (or any Voip system on my computer and my cell phone via bluetooth). I can't recommend this enough. Mine finally died and they said they can't replace the base, but I used it so much I'm amazed how long it lasted. Happily bought another one that will hopefully last until I retire :-)

I wear this headset for hours every day, it is very comfortable and the sound quality is good. Some headsets give me a headache, but I've not had any with this. Good range, I can walk quite a distance away if i need to without losing signal, it picks right back up when I'm back in range.

I almost had to return this headset. I could not get this to work with my analog Panasonic DECT 6.0. According to the Plantronics Help Desk, this headset will only work with a VOIP phone, or an old fashioned corded phone with the keypad on the base (not the handset). So I had to buy a cheap analog phone to get this to work.Pros:-the biggest selling point for me is the hot swappable battery. My job occasionally requires me to be on the phone for 18+ hours. I used to have a collection of replacement batteries for my old headset. But the W745-M headset allows me to charge one battery while I am using the other. When one battery dies, I can pop one out, and pop the other one in, without losing the call.-the bluetooth feature allows me to take calls on my cell phone without having to switch headsets.-the system connects to a desktop, and settings can be applied from the GUI-light weightCons:- short range. With my old headset, would go about 100 ft before it started to cut out. This headset is good for about 60 feet, before is gets bad, and 80 feet before it completely loses connectivity.- uncomfortable. This is my forth over-the-ear Plantronics, This one if the most uncomfortable. It's OK for the first 3-4 hours. But then I start to feel pressure points. It comes with 4 ear-pieces and 3 over-the-ear loops. It has an over-the-head, and behind the neck type fittings.

It is close to a quarter of the price from other sellers but it does not come with the over the ear piece shown in product photo or the micro usb cord to connect to the computer. Without the micro usb cord the headset will not work with the phone system so you will have to buy it separately. The seller should have made it clear other parts would have to purchased before you can use this headset.
