Audio Production Basics with Cubase 10.5

If your are brand new to Cubase and digital audio software with too much money in your pockets, this is a good book for you. The writing is good and very clear, with good screen shots, and many included on-line examples for you to learn and practice your Cubase skills.Unfortunately, if you have any experience with Cubase—or any other current ,music digital audio production software—there is very, very little here that will be new or of practical use. The entirety of audio mixing, including overview of EQ, dynamics, and reverb, is handled within a scant 15 pages including illustrations. The book description promises a lot of content but doesn't deliver and what is there is quite shallow.I had been hoping for a good reference and learning resource, updated for new features of the ver 10.5 release. This is not such a book. The best to date remains Matthew Hepworth's "Power Tools for Cubase 7", which remains fully relevant and is only half the cost of this book.

I wanted a reference book for Cubase, something with a strong index so I could look up individual issues I'm experiencing as a new user of Cubase. Each chapter is a series of exercises, more like a workbook than a textbook. The information was good but not presented in the format I need.

My 10 year old could have written this book. What a joke.

Very basic, - clue perhaps is in the title - but not helpful if you already use Cubase and can already record, - doesn't cover enough of the functions or potential. Bought as a gift, but arrived damaged - which Amazon immediately corrected - but now looking for a more comprehensive guide to give as gift.

I found this a bit too basic having used Cubase Elements for a couple of years . If your using Artist and especially Pro I would recommend buying Darren Jones’s book

Not very well structured. Despite the title the author keeps talking about other products. Not very helpful.

Boos well written, but when its said basics I was expecting a bit more.but for anybody just starting out in Cubase 10.5, it'll get you started just fine
